Gidget is my pride and joy. She has an effervescent personality, and loves life to the max!! At 7 weeks of age, Gidget developed Inta Susception, where the intestine folds back on itself, and had life saving surgery, performed by my wonderful Vet, Carolyn Prentice-McLean. Every time I look at Gidg, I am so thankful that I got her to the vet in time to save her life. As a puppy she was awarded Best Puppy of Breed at the Royal Melbourne Show, and Best Puppy In Show at the Alaskan Malamute Club of Victoria Championship Show in Melbourne, also winning the Puppy Pointscore Competition. In 2000 she was awarded Reserve Challenge at the Specialty Alaskan Malamute Championship Show in Adelaide, and Best Intermediate in Show at the Adelaide Alaskan Malamute Club Open Show. In 2001 Gidg won the Intermediate Bitch point score, although she was only shown a few times during the year. She is a Multi Best of Breed winner, with many In Group awards to her credit and achieved her Aust. Championship title at 2 years of age. She endears herself to everyone who meets her with her enthusiasm and lovable personality.

The following 2 photos were taken at 5 years of age. Gidget is an outstanding, substantial bitch. She has retired from the show ring with nothing left to prove, and is enjoying a life of leisure with us. She will be mated early in 2004, which will hopefully give us our next show puppy to have a bit of fun with!
The pic below is Gidget and Almus on their private beach. Gidget now lives with Aaron Oliver and Shirley of Kadzait Kennels to give them a start with their own breeding program. Almus is Gidget's grandson, and is out of ABBY and CHUCKIE
