The Olive Branch

The Olive branch was formed because I wanted to rock. That is the only reason. Cheyenne was only getting one show every two months and they were the same bands. We aren't a business and we do not operate like one. In fact we never make a profit and we only occasionally break even. The idea is to be able to create a scene from scratch using our own small and free equipment and pool our resources together to secure cheap or free venues. In addition to those measures I think the most important part is not doing this alone. As many of you know, the Olive Branch consists of a group of people not just me. The idea is to handle any loss that may occur easier. As a group, taking responsibility for a loss is not a big deal, when the bill is split more than five ways. This way The Olive Branch scene can survive, because it isn't dependant of money, certain venues or even bands that have a good draw. We use the money too hook up bands and help them out. Because we understand that a band traveling on the road depends on money to make it through these vast western parts.

As far as helping out bands goes, we are more than happy to help out most bands. Just send me an email. I promise I will get back to you quickly. I am trying to scale back my involement and book less often. Check the people on the contact page. They minght be a good bet too. Feed back is always welcome. And help is always appreciated. Booking is easiest to achieve through email. We don't however want to deal with any sexist, racist, homophones, religious or any other hate groups.
