Tweleve o'clock, O.H.C. was playing, I just finished mowing lawn. Visited with Grandma for about an hour, she's doing better now and she's getting ready to start a new chemo treatment.
One o'clock, meet up with Kerry who just finished making bad ass flyers fro Go! For the Throat!
1:30 drop the lovely Fiona cat off at the sitters!
2:00 arrive at the battle plenty of parking not as packed as the tough man competion.
2:30 Find out that due to cancelations that Napier has been moved to the 4:00 slot. Fat Cat Freddie was playing and I sure was hoping that they wouldn't win. (ok I know that was nice but I was really in Napiers corner)
3:00 miss yet another band GEHA from Larmie. not but what I saw they even had a little folowing wich was cool. But I HAD to eat and I must say that that coffe shop was so lame! They didn't serve water cause they were helping with drought and fire fighting efforts,how bush!
4:00 Quiver with anticipation over a killer Napier set! 4:30 Napier rocked the house yall and the crowd who was the judge was so loud that you couldn't even hear the air horn I was cranking.
5:00 Pick up Fiona I love her! and watch the broncos beat up on the Bears who sucked balls!
9:00 Eat a great taco care of my loving wife! YUMMY
10:00 this was the time the show was supposed to wrap up and I had been preserving my stamp while I watered the lawn to find out who won!
But instead Possible Bad News was on I must say that they are talented but they have some limp fans man I mean wouldn't even take a Go! for the Throat flyer from me.
Dischotomy, was up next and they had a great set. Dude lit himself on fire and while I didn't hear the Happy Campers crowd response I must say that your was pretty loud and it should have been too cause, well, you lit yourself on freaking fire!
I don't remember who was next but the next band that I do remember was Laymen Terms! WOW. What a great great band. If I can someday drum half as good as that guy I would be thrilled to death man! WOW what a great set. I can't wait to see you guys play the 23rd. I had to break down and buy a CD it was that good.
After that the Teenaged bottle rocket played nad I must admit that the guys of Homeless Wonders have made alot of enemies over the years cause you cleared the room quick! sorry man It's a fact your name was vandalized on the line up sheet. You must have burned bridge after bridge. Oh well, squash all beef and extend the olive branch I say.
To bring the day to a close OCH played to an even smaller crowd at that point and we were all scared that you were gonna drop Napier out of contention.
Final talley, Deadspeak winning as everyone in the free world thought they should and Napier comming in second to my great great joy! and the crappy pampers in third.
Driving home I thought it was strange that OHC was playing at 12 again. talk about a full circle adventure.
WE KNOW THESE GUYS ARE, but who else is gonna lose in the battle of the bands???
