Deaf and Dumb, by Kyle

Another night, another show. This one was great, like the rest, and most of you missed it. Thanks to the handful of die-hard supporters who did actually show up and the three of four girls who were there for the first time. A big Fuck You goes out to those who didn't show up because they think they're better than us or that their parents' liquor cabinet is more important. Anyways, on to the show.

Voice of Simon was first for the meager masses. Their music has taken a slight turn without Buzz. Buzz injected gobs of energy into their shows. Now, with the singing duties placed upon the remaining members, the show has slightly less energy and more tedious vocals. This will go away with time and shows. I anxiously await their next show when we can get a decent mic in front of Brian, because I still have yet to hear his dulcet voice. My curiosity is peaked. These guys know me and know they deserve all my props. By the way, their new set-up in the basement was interesting. I liked it.

Then it was Brazilia from the possibly small and quaint town of Chapel Hills, North Carolina. These guys surprised me. I hadn't heard them and I heard one of them say the word "emo" in reference to their music. Little did I know, but they were actually talking about how they weren't emo, but unfortunately my hearing doesn't serve me very well. They even kind of looked emo. Wow, was I in for a shock. They rocked, hard. They had these amazing melodies that would quickly give way to harsh, distorted power chords and angst-ridden screams. They played hard, fast, and loud, just like your parents did all those years ago. But unlike your parents, I'd definitely like to see these guys come (or cum, you sicko perverts) again. I especially liked their song which I believe was called "Fire." It had this beautiful rolling melody that stuck with me for hours afterwards. And the drummer busted out the tambourine, so that's always a plus. Their album was rock-ific as well.

Most of you definitely missed a good one. Many of you need to open your minds, who knows what great things you might discover. I can almost positively assure you it won't be a re-enactment of your conception with original actors, but it might be fun anyways. Rock On.
