Badest Ass Party Crashers of All Time, by Chad

The fine young Republican Asking Autumn (Arguably Christian conspirators) opened the basement festivities with an excellent rendition of a style that I've found to be the most popular of the touring "independent" acts of late. Uptempo predominantly with variations of a breakdown that slows the tune to clean guitar and a depressing vocal feature. JD had played their demo earlier and they kicked of the jams accurately and well.

The Scaries Pounded out their obviously refined set next. I particularly enjoyed there set on the sheer tightness of this group. They've been played together for years and it showed brilliantly. The Hot water music reminiscent energy of the guitarist sealed the deal. A Great band.

Farewell to Fashion is all that will be remembered on default of the blasted brain-cells from the onslaught of gyrations throughout their set. The highlight of all local shows I've seen For months. not being on the schedule and closing the night was an example of the dominant presence they emanate from their mutant "we rock you harder than anyone since Planes Mistaken for Stars" Style. Fantastic combination of aggressive music with powerful vocals. The flailing guitars added beautifully to the scary yet somehow welcoming chaos. A toast to Farewell to Fashion and whatever bastardly northwestern winds that brought them up here.

Hanging out for pizza was an amazing end to the already excellent night. A intimidatingly large series Thankyous go out to JD and Kerry for this event.
