In 1944 she married William Patrick Martin who was stationed with the U.S. Army in St. John's at the time. She eagerly packed up her four small children and followed her husband to various military bases in Europe and back home. With retirement in 1960 the couple settled in Franklin County. A loving, devoted wife and mother, Mrs. Martin spent her later years focused on her ever-growing family of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A member of Snow Creek Christian Church, she was well-loved by the members of the congregation. Surviving are her husband, William Patrick Martin; two daughters: Sharon M. Christian of Snow Creek and her children: Forrest S. Christian, Dare D. Frey, Morgan M. Sherman; Jean K. Smith of Martinsville and her daughter Megan Smith; two sons: R.
