Malaysia's memorable events

will be remembered forever...

These are a few of our memorable events which happened not long ago (the ones which suddenly struck my mind):

The ladies get to play the 2004 Uber Cup for the first time on merit on the 2004. To name a few of their team members were Wong Miew Choo, Nurshahliza Baharom, Woon Sze Mei, and Chin Eei Hui - Wong Pei Tty

Chin Eei Hui - Wong Pei Tty is the first Malaysian women pair to qualify for the Olympic Games (gradually growing stronger and stronger)

Malaysian girls Ang Li Peng - Lim Pek Siah stunned the world when they managed to get the GOLD medal in the 2002 Commonwealth Games @ Manchester, England. (Both players have retired from representing Malaysia)

Wong Mew Choo won the 2004 SEA Games ladies singles' crown, after for more than 20 years Malaysian has not captured the ladies singles' gold. Since then, she has been quite promising to bring back Malaysia's pride in the ladies' singles category, except that she is now bothered by an injury.

Koo Kien Keat - Wong Pei Tty is the first Malaysian mixed pair to have won an international title. They capture the 2004 Taiwan Open title and have been only paired for less than 3 months. Besides, they were the second placing in the five star 2004 Singapore Open the week before.

Wong Choong Hann being the first Malaysian to win the silver medal and being the only Malaysian to go beyond the Quarterfinals) in the 2003 World Championship, losing to Xia Xuanze in a three-game thriller.

Hafiz Hashim won the 2003 All England title after many many years of draught (can't remember how long) (Right now, his achievement isn't impressive at all)
