MVP Cup Asia vs Europe :
Asia won the MVP Cup with their 11-4 win against Europe. The first day's matches
were worth a point each, the second day's matches were counted as 2 points each
and 3 points were given for the winners on the final day's matches. Three
matches were played on each day.

MVP Cup Asia vs Europe :
As expected, Asia got a great start in the day one. First, Zhang Ning totally
took control Mia Audina and won easilly, then Taufik's standard was way better
than Anders Boesen and finally, Chan Chong Ming - Koo Kien Keat came back from
trailing in the third game to overcome Nathan Robertson - Anthony Clark.

Singapore Open, 11.25pm:
Our Women's Doubles ran out of steam in the quarterfinals and went down fighting
to an Indonesian pair. Overall - disappointing Singapore Open for the Malaysians

The Women's Doubles of Chin Eei Hui - Wong Pei Tty are the only ones through to
the Quarterfinals.

Singapore Open, 8.40pm:
The disappointing Malaysian players made my job easier to write something here.
There are no more men's players left for the Quarterfinals tomorrow. Chin Eei
Hui - Wong Pei Tty's match are on-going.

All Malaysian MD players are sent packing home in the first round, excluding the
junior pair of Tan Bin Shen - Ong Soon Hock who cruised into the 2nd round.

Singapore Open: Round 2 : Choong Hann lost to home favourite, Ronald Susilo in straight sets!
28 June 2005, Tuesday :
Singapore Open: Mew Choo crashed out in the qualifying round to
a china-born Singaporean youngster. Surprisingly, Choong Hann is also featured
in the men's doubles, partnering Choon Eng!
27 June 2005, Monday :
Choon Eng - Tan Fook are the 4th Malaysian pair to play in the World
Championship. However, Tan Fook is going to partner Wan Wah in the coming
Singapore and Malaysia Open.
24 June 2005, Friday :
Malaysia vs. Denmark : Malaysia defeated Denmark 5-0 in the
friendly match. The Danish didn't really seem to perform on par due to tiredness
from travelling for 21 hours!
21 June 2005, Tuesday :
-Kim Hock fears Chong Ming's injury might be a disturbance.
“Chong Ming is still bothered by a shoulder injury. Whenever there is pain,
he skips training to get treatment,” said Kim Hock. “Chong Ming will have
to be fit enough to train regularly if his partnership with Kien Keat are to be
among the title contenders in the world meet. Hopefully, this can be achieved
over the next two months.”
-Both Chong Wei and Mew Choo were not pleased at all with their performance in
the finals of the Pahang Open.
-Li Mao advises Mew Choo to play more of tricky shots instead of her
straight-forward playing style.

Pahang Open : Final showdown : Roslin vs Chong Wei. Chong Wei
defeated Tsuen Seng yesterday and Roslin disposed his younger brother in the
semi. Choong Hann crashed out in the quarterfinals to Tsuen Seng but Choong Hann
is also in the finals of the men's doubles, partering Choon Eng. Chong Ming -
Kien Keat went down to Choong Hann's pair. Kien Keat was having a fever. He
pulled out the mixed doubles too. Women's Singles : Wong Mew Choo vs Julia Wong

Wan Wah is determine to make a come-back with his partner, Tan Fook.
It has been quite a while since the last time we saw him in action.
Meanwhile in Pahang Open, all seeded players marched into the quarterfinal. Beng Hong had to struggle before getting the better of the junior, Tan Chun Seang 15-9, 12-15, 15-17

Chin Eei Hui is all fired up to prepare for the World Championship
despite the pain in her right knee. She is qualified for the first time in the
women's doubles alongside with Wong Pei Tty and she definitely does not want to
miss this golden opportunity.

tournament, having Chan Chong Ming - Koo Kien Keat in the doubles

Foreign news : Gong Ruina has left the China team *sad
sad* *shall miss her* and Xia Xuanze has not been given the
wildcard to compete in the World Championship!!

Sudirman Cup
Mission accomplished! Malaysia have gained promotion to
Division I by beating Japan 3-1, losing in the Women's Singles. Choong Hann was
fielded in the mixed together with Pei Tty. Chong Wei was in the men's singles
whereas Kien Keat (a showman!) - Chong Ming gave Malaysian the winning point.

Friday :
Sudirman Cup
Malaysia topped the group when the romped home to
victory against Netherlands yesterday. Kien Keat - Pei Tty and Wong Choong Hann
gave the team a boost when they both won their respective matches but Mew Choo
went down fighting to Yao Jie but our Men's Doubles , Chong Ming - Kien Keat
sealed victory for us. The WD lost anyway

Yap Kim Hock has already confirmed that Rexy Mainaky has agreed to

Former Olympic Gold Medallist, Rexy Mainaky from Indonesia might be
hired to be the second foreign coach to assist Yap Kim Hock in the men's
doubles.
It is also *rumoured* that Wong Choong Hann is going to settle down with his girlfriend on 11 June =) how sweet. The reception will be held grandly in Hilton Hotel. Let's hope this celebration will bring him more success in ...maybe his doubles career =)
