As a natural reflex AJ looked her over. She was a little younger than him,
about 5'6, with long brown hair. He couldn't see her face and her eyes cause
she stood by the door with her back turned towards him, and she was wearing
sunglasses.
"Great taste!" he thought.
She was wearing a black skirt and a blue top.
"um… Nice…" he thought to himself, liking what he saw.
"You're welcome…" he finally spoke.
Jasmine slowly turned around.
"That voice…" she thought.
She hadn't recognized him at first but that voice.
"…that sounded like …but it couldn't…"
She looked at him and a smile appeared on her face. It was him and he was
leaning against the wall behind her.
"I guess I didn't pay much attention when I stepped in to the elevator…" she
thought "One glimpse at him and it's impossible to NOT know…"
He was wearing black baggy pants, a red tank (so you could see his tattoos,
and of course… a cowboy hat and sunglasses.
"She's got a beautiful smile…" he thought and smiled back. "Hello."
"Hi." she looked down on the floor.
"Oh, she's a bit shy… cute!… wonder if she knows who I am?… Nah! she seems
so calm…" he was disturbed from his thoughts by her speaking.
"Yes."
"Huh?" he didn't get it, did he ask her a question without noticing it
himself?
She laughed a bit.
"You were so quiet for a while… so I assumed you were wondering if I know
who you are… so… Yes, I know who you are."
"Oh… you're good! So… are you a fan?"
"Yes I am. I'm actually here to see your concert. But I didn't expect to run
in to one of you guys…"
He gave her a big smile.
"So, you know who I am, but I don't know your name… that's not fair!"
She laughed a bit and the offered him her hand. "Jasmine."
He shook her hand. "AJ. Nice to meet ya."
The elevator had reached the first floor.
"Well… nice to meet you too AJ. Maybe we'll meet again sometime…" she smiled
and let go of his hand and then left the elevator.
AJ just stood there smiling to himself.
"WOW! A girl that's a fan and DIDN'T scream in my face… Well, I guess it's a
first time for everything!… and… I like it!"
Jasmine stepped out from the elevator with a smile on her face. She had
NEVER in her dreams imagined she would run in to AJ McLean in an elevator.
She looked toward the lobby, and stopped.
"No… It can't be… What is HE doing here?!"
Jasmine couldn't move. There in the lobby stood Sebastian. The thought of
him following her here scared Jasmine.
Sebastian turned around, and started walking towards her and the elevators.
Jasmine finally could control her movements again, and quickly turned around
and hurried back in to the elevator before Sebastian would see her.
AJ was just about to step out from the elevator, when Jasmine came back
again.
"Forgot something?" he said smiling, but he then saw that something was
wrong. Jasmine seemed to be panicking, turning around, looking like she was
trying to find another exit from the elevator.
AJ stepped towards her and put his hands on her shoulders.
"Jasmine, what's wrong? Calm down." he said in a worried voice.
Jasmine looked at him as if she hadn't seen him in there before.
"Hide me! Please, hide me…" were all she whispered.
AJ was about to ask why, but the pleading in her voice made him decide to
just do as she asked. He led her to one of the corners in the elevator, and
leaned against the wall behind her covering her with his own body. Leaving
them just inches away from each other.
"What are you doing?" Jasmine asked a bit calmer now.
"Well… you asked me to hide ya, and this is all I could come up with…
there's not many places to hide in here. This way we'll just look like
another couple making out…" he gave her a small smile.
"Oh… Thanks…" she smiled back, feeling a bit stupid.
Then AJ could feel Jasmine tense up. He glanced in the mirror on the wall,
trying to see who stepped in the elevator. It was a guy. He was a bit bigger
than AJ, wearing big baggy pants, a sweater and a cap. He couldn't see the
face of the guy. He looked back down at Jasmine, put his arm around her and
giving her a light hug, assuring her that he was there for her.
