Jim and Jennifer had long past together. They had always been neighbors and
when
they got older around 14 years old they became a couple and they were
together for
at least two years before Jim had to move away with his family. It had taken
them
both hard and they had promised to keep in touch via mail, e-mail and phone.
But as
the time went by their contact had gotten a bit slower, they didn't write as
much as
they used to and the phone-calls had been cut down to maybe once a month.
The
last time they had met was at x-mas. And that was 8 months ago.
"I've missed you so much, I don't have anyone to talk to now that you are
gone, I
know that it's been two years but you were the only one I could share
everything
with."
"I've missed you too. But do you know what?!" He got a big grin on his face.
"No..." She said a bit nervous about what he was going to tell her.
"Well, I was thinking of going to the university next year. And..." He grew
silent.
"And what?" Jennifer didn't want to get her hopes up too much.
"Well I was thinking of coming back home and go to the university there."
"Oh that would be great!!" Jennifer was so relaxed that she could feel a
tear run
down her cheek.
"Hey baby, don't cry..."
"I know, I'm just so happy, finally we get to be together again!"
"It's not for sure yet and I don't know if I get in." He sounded a bit cold
saying that.
"Oh, I'm sure you will, are you staying here for long?"
"Actually I'm only staying 'til tomorrow."
"So, why are you here? You haven't told me that yet."
"Well my soccer team are going to work during the Waterfestival, and I'm one
of the
first ones here. Tomorrow another bunch will come and we will go back home."
"Oh...what are you going to do today then?" Jennifer was a bit disappointed.
"I have to work until 6 p.m."
"Ok, well do you wanna do something after that?"
"Yeah, sure...should we say around..." Jim looked down on his watch.
"Shit! I'm late, I've gotta run!"
"Here's my number call me when you get back, ok?"
"OK" With that he gave her a quick kiss on the cheek.
Jennifer finished her breakfast and went to her room.
