Jenn gazed at the napkin in her hand.
"Prettiest d*mn napkin I've ever seen," Ryan smirked as he walked into the bedroom and sat down on the end of the bed, facing the office chair that she was sitting in, at the desk.
She laughed, quietly, swiveling the chair around on it's wheels so that she faced him. "'Ryan and Jenn Phillippe. August 4th, 2001'!!" she spoke dramatically, her eyes flashing with humor.
Ryan shook his head with an amused look on his face, "Funny, Jenn. Funny."
Jenn giggled, before standing up and stretching. "Is Jonathon asleep?"
"Yeah, he went out like a light. Today must've taken it's toll on him," he smiled at the thought of his son. "C'mere, babe."
She walked over to him, letting him pull her onto his lap.
"How are you?"
"Fine," Jenn smiled. "It seems odd... how much time went into the planning of the wedding and now it's over. Just like that."
"Well I sure hope you enjoyed it!"
"I did, I did," she assured him, wrapping her arms around his neck. "Believe me, I did. It was the best day of my life. And yeah, I know how cliche'd that sounded." she rolled her eyes, good-naturedly.
Ryan leaned down and kissed her gently, hoping that the simple kiss could convey at least an ounce of his love for her. And in your eyes I see ribbons of color / I feel my unconscious merge with yours / And I hear a voice say, "What's his is hers"
Jenn smiled at him, her eyes twinkling. "You know..."
"Yes?" he smirked.

"Yeah, you didn't forget, did you?" she played along, tugging on a few strands of his curly hair.

"Ha-Ha," Jenn replied dryly, before turning around so that she was facing him completely, straddling his lap. She pushed him onto his back. "Like a baby," Ryan's laugh came out as a giggle and Jenn didn't know if it was because of his own joke or if she'd tickled him, but at that moment she didn't particularly care.
