Wild Heart: Chapter 4: A Dizzy Teenage Dirt-Bag

...Right now, face to face, All my fears pushed aside...

You look at her, she looks at me, She's got me thinking about her constantly But she don't know how I feel And she carries on without a doubt I wonder if she'll figure out I'm crazy for this girl, I'm crazy for this girl...

-Crazy For This Girl, by evan and jaron (CD: Dawson's Creek, volume 2)

Nick sighed, the next day, as he scrubbed the bathroom floor. He was on a cleaning frenzy that he'd never felt in his life before. He didn't understand Monstrosity. He was trying to get her off his mind - he was in denial that she was on his mind, in the first place. Needing a break from cleaning, he stood and headed down to the beach that his house overlooked. As he stood staring at the water, he heard an all too familiar angered shriek.

"Do you just follow me everywhere I go?!?!"

"No, Monstrosity... I didn't follow you here," Nick rolled his eyes at the pissed off - yet beautiful - girl in front of him. "My house is up there," he motioned to his house.

"How nice," she sarcastically feigned interest.

He sighed and looked back to the water, figuring she'd walk away. Instead she stood, looking at him.

Gosh, he looks hot today, she thought, before mentally slapping herself. No, Monstrosity, you will NOT think that way!

But she couldn't help but gaze at him.

"Nick," she muttered, almost silently. But he heard.

"What?" Nick sighed, turning around, expecting her to say something cruel.

Instead she yanked his head down towards her and kissed him, hard on the lips. His eyes widened, before he took the opportunity and kissed back, his hands tangling in her hair. Before he knew it, she had him pinned on the sand, where she was kissing him passionately.

You're cynical and beautiful You always make a scene You're monochrome delirious You're nothing that you seem I'm drowning in your vanity Your laugh is a disease You're dirty and you're sweet You know you're everything I need

Ohh... Everything you are Falls from the sky like a star Ohh... Everything you are Whatever ever you want

I wanna kick at the machine That made you piss away your dreams And tear at your defenses 'Til there's nothing there but me You're angry when you're beautiful Your love is such a tease I'm drowning in your dizzy noise I wanna feel you scream

Ohh... Everything are you Falls from the sky like a star Ohh... Everything you are Whatever ever you want...

Before Nick knew it, he'd led her to his house. Before he knew it, she'd taken off his clothes. And before he knew it, he'd taken off hers.

This had to be wrong. There had to be something going on here. Monstrosity hated his guts - why was she doing this??

...But she doesn't know who I am And she doesn't give a d*mn about me

Cuz I'm just a teenage dirtbag, baby I'm just a teenage dirtbag, baby...

...Ohh yeah, dirtbag No, she doesn't know what she's missing Ohh yeah, dirtbag No, she doesn't know what she's missing...

...She's walking over to me This must be fake My lip starts to shake How does she know who I am And why does she give a d*mn about me...

..."I'm just a teenage dirtbag baby, like you Oohh"...

-Teenage Dirtbag, by Wheatus (CD: Dawson's Creek, volume 2)

Monstrosity pulled her clothes on, an hour later, before grabbing her purse off the bedside table.

"Where are you going??" Nick practically screamed, though he hadn't intended to.

She looked at him like he was an idiot, "You actually expected me to stay?" she scoffed. "Get a life, Nick..."

With that, she left.

It's amazing How you make your face just like a wall How you take your heart and turn it off How I turn my head and lose it all

It's unnerving How just one move puts me by myself There you go just trusting someone else Now I know I put us both through hell

I'm not saying There wasn't nothing wrong I just didn't think you'd ever get tired of me An' I'm not saying We ever had the right to hold on I just didn't wanna let it get away from me

But if that's how it's gonna leave Straight out from underneath Then we'll see who's sorry now If that's how it's gonna stand When you know you've been depending on The one you're leaving now The one you're leaving out

It's aggravating How you threw me on And you tore me out How your good intentions turn to doubt The way you needed time to sort it out

An' I'm not saying There wasn't nothing wrong I just didn't think you're ever get tired of me An' I'm not saying We ever had the right to hold on I just couldn't ever let you get away from me

But if that's how you're gonna leave Straight out from underneath Then we'll see who's sorry now If that's how it's gonna stand When you know you've been depending on The one you're leaving now The one you're leaving out

The one you're leaving now Now, no no The one you're leaving out

I'm not saying There was nothing wrong I didn't think you'd ever get tired of me

But if that's how you're gonna leave Straight out from underneath Then we'll see who's sorry now If that's how it's gonna stand When you know you've been depending on The one you're leaving now Now, hey well...

Tell me is that how it's going to end When you know you've been depending on The one you're leaving now And the one you're leaving out And the one you're leaving now The one you're leaving out
