“Kerry, baby. Where’d ya go? AJ mumbled.
“She left.” Nick was annoyed.
“What do you mean, she left?” AJ questioned bemused.
“How?”
“How do you think?”
“You mean I don’t get my fun?”
“Well, yea.”
“Ugh! Lets go try to follow them.”
“Alright. I want her back.”
“And you think I don’t” Nick questioned as he hopped out of the car and started sprinting after Laura and Kerry. AJ stumbled out of the car and tried to follow.
It was only after a moment when AJ tripped and fell. Nick sped on. AJ groggily tried to pull himself up off the hot pavement. He heard a car door open behind him and a girl scream his name. He turned around to look at her. She wasn’t too bad looking in his opinion. Well, she wasn’t too bad looking until she screamed: “Look I got tatoos to match yours.” He scrambled up off the ground and noticed here BSB t-shirt. He started running again. “AJ” She screamed. “AJ! Come back. Come back, AJ, come back! I want you AJ! You’re mine!” She started running and following him. He tripped again and she was right on his tail. She stooped down to grab and he saw the pictures of him on her long jagged nails. He scrambled out from under her grasp and ran as fast as he could away from her. He wished he had body guards with him. He took off running as fast as he could. Soon he looked back and the girl was far behind him. He saw Nick up ahead of him and then turned around and the girl was closer. AJ ran faster. It wasn’t long before he shouted out to Nick.
“Yo! Where’d they go?”
“Can’t you see them way up there?’
“I don’t see them,” AJ exclaimed, “But that’s not what I’m most concerned about at the moment.”
“How can you think about anything else?’ Nick questioned.
“Well, there is this girl following me with pictures of me on her nails.”
“Wow. AJ, she really loves you.”
“I don’t care anything about her except that I’m worried she’ll like catch me and molest me.”
“AJ - worried about being molested by a girl. Well, this is a weird day.”
“Shut-up,” AJ mumbled as he sped past Nick.
Laura quickly looked over her shoulder as she ran through the dark street. “Gosh Kerry, you and AJ must have been having a real good time, he’s past Nick and catching up with us.”
Kerry glanced back and swore under her breath. “Quick! Let’s turn.” She said ducking into an ally with Laura following her.
They ran swiftly and quickly for a moment until Laura looked back and saw AJ gaining on them. “Quick! Turn on that street. Maybe we can loose them.”
“Or we could just give up.” Kerry panted.
“No,” Laura breathlessly replied. “I can’t do that for such a stupid reason.”
“Well, I’m tired.”
“No,” Laura grabbed Kerry’s arm and pulled her along, “come on. You have to. Besides do you want to have sex with a Back Street Boy?”
Kerry slowed down for a moment to think about it then replied: “Heck No! Let’s go. Turn here. A few more turns and we’ll loose them.”
Laura breathed a sigh of relief the lest she could with her chest pounding like it was from running so far.
Nick Breathed hard. Running through alleys wasn’t his idea of fun, but he knew he couldn’t loose Laura. He didn’t know that he would ever see her again if he didn’t catch her then and get her phone number. He wished he could see the girls but he couldn’t. All he could see was AJ who he assumed could see them and was following them from way behind. He looked around to see AJ’s admirer who was about to catch up with him. He tried to sped up, but his tired muscled wouldn’t go any faster. Slowly the girl caught up with him. “Hey, Nick,” She smiled quickly at him before speeding on. Nick could only shake his head and chuckle.
AJ wove his way blindly through the alleys a way back he had, had to make a choice between catching Kerry or not being caught by that scary fan. He decided he would rather not be caught. He turned around and looked to see where she was. She was in front of Nick and about to catch up with him. He felt like he could hardly breathe. H saw a crowd in front of a club ahead of him. He wiggled his way into the crowd and hopped she would loose him in there.
“I think we’re lost them!” Laura breathed looking over her shoulder.
“Good. I think I’m about to die!” Kerry gasped as she tried to catch her breath.
“Where are we going?” Laura questioned.
“Let’s go back to the club so I can get my car.”
“Isn’t that a long way away?”
“Not really. We’re circled around a lot.”
“All right. Do you know where we are?”
“Sure, come on this way?” Kerry started walking towards the club.
“We’re not running, are we?”
“No!”
“Good!” Laura breathed.
“AJ!” Nick called out trying to part his way through the crowd.
AJ turned and saw his friend heading his way through the crowd towards him. “Hey, let’s get out of here!” AJ called out.
“We’ve lost them haven’t we?” Nick as he reached AJ.
“Oh yeah! I lost them a long time ago.” AJ replied.
“Then why did you keep running?”
“That fan!”
“You mean, that fan?” Nick pointed to a girl right behind AJ. He turned and practically screamed. He pushed his way past Nick and through the crowd, running as fast as he could. Nick and the girl both followed him, but the girl who was tired, began lagging behind. AJ turned corners blindly only thinking about getting away from that fan. Eventually Nick yelled, “Gosh, AJ slow down! We lost her a long time ago.” AJ looked behind him and saw that Nick was right. The girl was no where in sight. He slowed down, but didn’t stop. “AJ, let’s stop!”
“No way!” AJ shook his head. “I’m not taking any chances. Besides we aren’t too far from the hotel, are we?”
“Yes.”
“Oh.”
“It’s way over there.” Nick pointed in the opposite direction, “but the club is only a mile or so away.”
“Only a mile or so!”
“Yes.” Nick replied.
They started walking, until the heard “AJ!” He looked around and saw the obsessed fan loping after them. he took off in a heart beat.
“We’re almost there.” Kerry said encouragingly to her tired friend.
“Good!” Laura panted.
Kerry heard footsteps behind them, and turned around almost hoping it was...Nick and AJ. It wasn’t. It was a tall, shiny black man holding a knife. “What!?” Kerry questioned surprised. Laura turned her head to look, then screamed: “Run!” They took off running, turning corner after corner until they finally thought he was gone, but they didn’t stop running. They were too scared. They heard a noise behind them and simultaneously turned their heads to where the noise had come from. There was nothing there, but as they turned to see where they were going, AJ came barreling though their midst, but didn’t stop. Kerry and Laura stopped dead in their tracks, shocked as Nick ran up to them. He grabbed Laura and Kerry, then took off running. Laura tried to wiggle free, but Nick’s grip only got tighter. She pinched Nick’s arm and he let her go as he yelled out in pain. She sprinted off as he stood in pain. Kerry, by now, was a good way ahead. She saw AJ running down one was and wondered why she was running away from him. He wasn’t all that bad, even if he was a pop star.
“We made it, Kerry! We made it!” Laura called out as she saw the club.
“Finally,” Kerry breathed. “There’s my car! Let’s get out of here.”
“Yes. Before Nick and AJ come back.” Laura quickly agreed.
“Were they following us?”
“No, but I think they are coming back here.”
“Oh,” Kerry replied as they drove off. “Wow!” She glanced at her clock. “We’re some fast runners. It’s not even 12:50 yet!”
“12:30?” Laura groaned. “I have to get up in the morning, because Justin might call.”
Kerry just sighed, muttered something about ugly, selfish, spoiled pig.
Nick and AJ arrived in the clubs parking lot several minutes after the girls left. Nick was very depressed, he had let her slip out of his arms. AJ was relieved that he had lost that scarey fan. He looked over to see a couple chewing out their daughter. “How could you run off like that?” the mother asked.
“I had to!” the daughter replied.
“You did not have to leave the car to go running off chasing some pop star!” the father said sternly.
“But it was AJ!” the daughter protested.
“I don’t care who it was!” the father was obviously angry.
“Honey,” the mother was trying to keep her control. “You can’t do this. You don’t know what could happen in the streets.
“Mommie!” the girl shrieked. “It meant everything to me!”
“AJ!” Nick called. “Let’s go!”
“All right.” AJ replied turning around. He got in the car with Nick as his cell phone rang. “Hello?” he said answering it.
“Hey!” Diana exclaimed on the other end. “You said something about doing something together in the morning. Is that still on?”
“Sure baby.” AJ replied. “I’ll pick you up at 11 o’clock.”
“Alright!” Diana smiled victoriously. “Where are you and Kerry?”
“I’m not with Kerry.”
