Both Kevin and Gina stood up and started running. Unfortunately they ran straight into the other guy. “Going somewhere?” He asked them with a vicious smile. He grabbed their arms so they couldn’t get away. He was a big guy, and very strong too. So the chances of them getting away from him were slim. Gina looked at Kevin to see what they should do next. But there was nothing they could do. They had lost their chance to escape. One of the men looked at them and said. “Don’t worry, we’re just going to take you to your friends.” He paused and then laughed. “If their still alive!” Gina looked at Kevin with a look of horror. The men threw them into the back of their van and drove off as soon as they got into the car. They were definantly in a hurry to get somewhere. The van that Kevin and Gina were riding in was a little nicer than the one the others had to ride in. They also had more room because they were only two of them. They quietly talked trying to figure out where the others were, where they were headed and other questions that were on their mind. Neither one of them knew the answer to the questions but somehow it made them feel a little better to say them aloud. The guy driving was going very fast and this made Gina nervous. “What if he has a wreck?” Gina asked. Kevin shrugged his shoulders. He didn’t know what to expect. He didn’t he know who these people were or any reason they would want to kidnap them. If only he could hear them talking about it.
Back in the other van, everyone was crowded around a very small opening near the front of the van that Howie had found. From here they could see a little of what they were heading towards. They stopped at a gate and waited while the huge iron gates swung open. The gates were rusting and you could hear them squeaking. Now they were on a nicely paved road, headed towards a very large looking house. The house looked abandoned and Heather noticed this and said. “I wonder why the road paved and they didn’t fix up the house?” No one answered her, but they didn’t know the answer anyway so it wouldn’t have done much good. Ivy covered the front of the house and made the appearance even more creepy. Joe had stopped the van and was talking to someone but no one could see the person through the hole. They could hear bits and pieces of the conversation. The man was trying to finish something but it would take a few more days. Joe got mad at him and told him that they didn’t have a few more days. That was the end of the conversation because after Joe had spoken he slammed his foot on the gas pedal and drove off. The sudden movement jolted everyone in the back and sent them flying across the van. Liz and Heather were extremely scared now and so A.J. tried to make a joke to help them calm down. “Well, I guess we’re going to have lot’s of bruises when this is over with. We’ll all have to wear make-up!” It worked and the girls laughed softly. Kevin and Gina fell forward as they came to a stop. They was no sound and then they heard the driver talking to someone. “Hey…yea I got the kids. They’re in the back and we’re on our way. You didn’t lose anyone did ya?” Apparently he was talking on a phone because they didn’t hear anyone else speaking. “Ok, well I’m hurrying as fast as I can. I don’t want to get a ticket or have a wreck.” He paused. “Right, I’ll meet you in the T-room then.” With that he hung up the phone and started driving again. The guy next to him said something and he laughed. “Yea, we’re going to have fun once we get there. Joe said that he was taking the others to the T-room and we’re going to meet them there. Once we’re there we’ll explain why we have them and tell them to call their manager and give us the money. Then once we get the money we’ll get rid of them.” The passenger seemed a little upset about the ‘getting rid of them’ part and mentioned something about how wrong that was. “Whose side are you on anyway?” the driver snarled.” There was no answer. Listen John,” he said to the passenger. “ you just go along and do your job and forget about what happens to them.” Now Kevin knew why they were there. It was all for the money. He would make them call and ask for a ransom and then kill them. He pulled Gina closer to him and said quietly. “Don’t worry, we’re not going to let them do that. We’ll get away.” Gina closed her eyes and prayed that he was right.
