Chapter 6

A few days later my mom, brother and I were on our way to the airport so that I could catch a flight to go meet up with Wayne Isham. "Sweetie, you sure you have everything?" asked my mom. I looked around and nodded. "Yep, sure as shit stinks on a hot summer night." I said with a chuckle. "JUSTYCE! You watch your language around your brother!" she said as Jordan and I looked at each other and busted up laughing.
"Uh, yeah, ok mom.....but who do you think taught me that?!" I asked as I watched the daggers shoot out from her eyes. "You kids are going to send me to an early grave, you both know that right?" she asked shaking her head.
"Aww...you know we love you mom." I said as we hugged. "I know and I love you guys too." she said stepping back. I gave Jordan a big hug. "Take care of mom while I'm gone Jordy. I promise next time you'll go with me ok?" I asked.
"No prob Justy. You take care too and stay outta trouble. And, tell Lance and the guys I said hi" he said with a sly grin.
"Um, Jordy, I'm not going to see the guys. I'm going strictly to meet with Wayne to get the concept set up. I wont be seeing the guys for a couple of months probably." I said as I raised one eyebrow.
"Yeah, sure...whatever you say sis. Take care." Jordan said as he and my mom waved me off. "Brothers...ugh...I swear." I thought to myself as I rolled my eyes and took my seat on the plane.
A few hours later the plane finally landed in Los Angeles. Wayne sent a limo for me and the driver met me at the baggage claim. "Are you ready Miss. Malone?" he asked. "Sure am..." I looked at his badge. "Uh...Thomas. And please call me Justyce." I said as I grabbed my duffel bag and headed towards the limo.
"Hey Thomas, where are we headed first?" I asked as I sat back in the limo.
"Well Justyce, first we are going to the beach house so you can get freshened up." he said as he made a left turn. My eyes widened. "Wow...no hotel? Who's beach house?" I asked. "I believe it is Mr. Isham's." he said with a smile. "Hey Thomas, do you know what it's like to be in Heaven?" I asked him as I leaned through the divider window. "No I don't Justyce." he said. I patted him on the shoulder. "Well, I'll let ya know when you bring me back to the airport when it's time for me to go home." I said as I sat back. Thomas laughed a bit. "I will be sure to remind you to tell me." he said as we pulled onto the grounds where the house was located.
Thomas helped me bring my things into the house and he left shortly after that. I looked around in amazement. "Beach house my ass...this place is a freakin mansion. I wonder if Wayne treats all his new employees this way." I said outloud.
I walked into the kitchen and found an envelope on the counter with my name on it. I slowly opened it up and read.

Dear Justyce,
This place is yours for as long as you are here. Feel free to make yourself at home. If you need anything, just let me know. You have a couple of days of free time until our meeting first thing Monday morning at 9:00a.m. Until then, have fun and enjoy!!
Your Boss,
"No Pain No Wayne" Isham
P.S. The keys to the truck are in the first drawer to your left. Don't wreck the truck, I've heard how you drive!!

I laughed as I set down the letter and started my exploration of the new digs. I finally found the room that I was going to be sleeping in. "Now this is the lap of luxury." I said as I threw my bag onto the bed. I walked over to the French Doors and opened them, walking out onto the deck gasping at what laid before my eyes. The grounds were perfectly landscaped and there was so much of it. There was an in ground pool with a Jacuzzi off to the side. A tennis court, a volleyball court and a mini golf course. "Damn, Wayne is 'da man!" I said. The bedroom where I was going to be sleeping was a house of it's own basically. It had a huge big screen T.V., a king size bed that you had to walk up 3 steps to get to. It reminded me of a medieval bed with the black wrought iron and white sheath hanging over the canopy. "This place is so kick ass, I gotta get me something like this." I thought to myself. Something on the desk caught my eye. As I walked over to it, I noticed that there was a huge bouquet of fresh roses sitting in a beautiful vase, with a note attached to it.

My Dearest Justyce,
Wayne told me and the guys that you would be staying here while you were in town working with him. I just thought I would get you something to make you feel at home, since I remembered all of the rose bushes you have at your house. I'll call you at the "house" tonight baby.
I Love You, Lance

I set the note down and smelled the roses. "Mmm...I miss him." I said outloud. I shook myself out of my thoughts and decided to go exploring some more. I walked down the hallway only to find myself laughing pretty hard at what I noticed. The door next to mine had a nameplate on it..."Lance's Room" it said. The next one was "J.C.'s Room", then Joey's, Justin's and last was Chris'. "So this is the house they were telling me about. This is hilarious." I said as I walked back to Lance's room. "I wonder..." I thought as I slowly opened the door to find a neatly clean room done up in Hunter Green and Burgundy. "Ooh...now this is nice." I said. Lance's room was almost the same as mine. The only thing that was different were the colors. My room was done in black and white.
I decided to go out for a bit and made my way back to the kitchen to grab the keys to the truck. Trying not to get lost, I found my way to the garage. I grinned when I saw the truck. "Yeah baby...GM all the way." I said as I got into the driver's seat and started it up. I cracked up as I made that damn Tim Allen grunting noise. "I gotta remind myself to kick Joey's ass for getting me hooked on that damn grunt." I thought as I backed it out of the garage and headed down the drive, hitting the button to opened the gate.
I got back later that evening and was pretty tired from exploring the town. I went shopping, had lunch and found the building where I would be working for the next couple of months. When I got back to the house, I found that the ground lights were all turned on as well were some in the house. "Must be on a timer." I thought. I pulled into the garage and grabbed all my things, then headed into the kitchen. When I hit the light switch, I instantly screamed and dropped my things at the sight that stood there before my eyes.
