I remembered seeing that advertised in the latest issue of YM and I thought "Hey, that would be a great opportunity for Lux and I to meet up." So I talked to the sales associate and she had me sign the reservation list. I reserved 4 seats in my name (just in case we wanted to bring friends along). When I got home, I emailed Lux about it and she totally dug the idea, especially after I told her it would be a great opportunity for her to plug the Josie and the Pussycats movie. (Her friends are on this street team to help promote movies and stuff.)
So everything was all set up, and the morning of the show, I drove up to Nordstrom early so I could get us good seats. The doors opened promptly at eight. I confirmed my reservation and told the receptionist that my three friends would arrive later. Then I wondered if I ever told Lucky what my last name was so she could tell the receptionist. I hoped for the best and I was ushered upstairs to the junior's department where the stage was set up.
As I got off the escalator, I was handed a goodie bag and was provided a bottle of orange juice. Now THAT'S service. lol I saved a spot right on the runway and kept an eye out for Lux and her friends. At about quarter after, I saw three chicas with kitty ears on, and figured it had to be them.
I got up and walked over to them. "Liv?" the tall girl asked me. "Yeah, that would be me, lmao." Lux was almost exactly how I'd pictured her...and the description she gave of herself was the only thing I had to go on since I'd never seen a pic of her. lol...Lux gave me a huge hug...and the madness that is our friendship, began. :)
The fashion show was cool, I suppose. The models showed off a lot of the clothes that had already been on display, but there were a few things that I hadn't seen yet. Finally, though, Innosense came out...which is what most people were waiting for.
I didn't take notes, so this is coming from my horrible memory, but this is the set list they did (and if you happened to be at this little performance, and remember it better, please correct me!): Ride, This Is It, You Can't Touch Me Now, Sunshine, and Say No More.
Lux, her friends, and I were totally into the whole thing..bopping around and singing. It really pissed me off that not a lot of other people were even making an effort to have fun. Pssh...the gals were great, and Lux and I were like, "Whoa!" when Nikki hit that note in "Say No More." And sticking with the fashion show theme, Danay was wearing Fumanskeeto. lol
During the whole thing, I was snapping away with the camera...but near the end of their set, I realized that my camera was temporarily BUSTED. Pssh, it sucked. I fiddled around with it while we were waiting in line to meet the girls, at the same time singing Brittany's Innosense parody to "Beat Beat," since the CD was playing in the store. "MY FANTASY IS FOR JC TO BEAT ME!" Lux was dying. She and the crew were promoting Josie, handing out all sorts of stuff. I felt special...I got a t-shirt, video, kitty ears, AND poster. GO ME! THANKS, GUYS! lol
So we finally reached the table, and the girls were sweet. Danay was THRILLED to see us. She was like, "I was watching you the whole time because you knew all the words!" Haha...well, my Innosense CD is pretty worn, and when I told them that, Veronica was like, "Good!" They signed a photo for me, but the girls were so flattered that I SINCERELY dug them, they even personalized my liner notes when they signed it. :)
And I luff Lux. She wrote the site address on one of her last Josie posters and handed it to Nikki. We told her to visit our site, and she's all like, "OKAY!" lol...I wonder if she's surfed on over yet...and what she thought? lol
Well, as you know, my camera was BUSTED during the entire fashion show and concert. But, I got it working right before we got to the autograph table and Carla managed to take these two pics for me (thanx chic!):

And that, people, is how *Lucky and I first met. I'll let Lux go ahead and add in her POV in here later when (AND IF) she decides to do so. She has a really great story about the drive home...something pretaining to MISSISSIPPI SOUL FOOD. Email her and tell her to write about it! lol But for now...PEACE.
