Jade pulled into her driveway and sat staring out the window. She wanted to cry and scream and tell the world how unfair life was and how much she hated Alexia. Instead, she got out of her car and decided to go on with her life, as unfair as it may be. She decided to forget about Alexia and Nick....and even try to forget Kevin.

Throwing her coat over the chair by the door, Jade went straight to the kitchen. She needed caffeine and she needed it fast. The only think she wanted was for the day to be over. This day definitely has to be the absolute worst day of my life. "No, that would be the day Kevin completely rejected me after I opened my heart to him. Today comes in a very close second."

Kevin watched Jade sink onto the couch with her cup of coffee. God, I love her. All he wanted to do was grab her and take every pain she was feeling away. He decided he just wanted to watch her for a little while. She's beautiful.

Kevin watched, all the while his heart breaking, as Jade began to cry.
"Why does everybody else get what they wish for? Why can't somebody love me? Why is life so fucking unfair?" she screamed and sent her mug across the room. Her shoulders shook as she sobbed, gut wrenching sobs. "Why? I just want to be in love."

"Jade, I do love you...if you'll just let me..." Jade's head popped up and she quickly wiped her eyes and looked around. "Great, now I'm going completely crazy...I'm hearing voices."
Stepping up so Jade could see him, he watched Jade's face fill with surprise. Walking over to her, he took her hands and knelt in front of her. "Baby, I love you....I was so stupid not to admit it."

"What letter?" he asked and let his lips find hers. Feeling her relax, he asked, "Baby, what are you talking about?"
"Nothing," she smiled slightly and ran her hands through his hair. "I really hope I'm not dreaming cause that's what it feels like."
"You're not baby."

Wrapping her arms around Kevin's neck, Jade buried her head in his shoulder. "I've waited so long for this...I never thought it would happen."
Pulling back, he placed a finger over her lips. "Shhh...what happened doesn't matter. All that matters is right now and we don't have to think about anything but each other. We have the rest of our lives for everything else." Kissing her again, he hugged her tight against him. Getting on the couch he pulled her to him and sank back in the corner.

"Kevin?"
"Hmm?" he asked rubbing her back. He had the love of his life in his arms and he didn't think it could get any more perfect.
"I love you," she whispered and kissed his neck.
Just when it seems like everything is complete...it gets even better. "I love you, too, baby. You just don't know."
