Chapter Two

When we got to my house, I found a surprisingly clean house. Nothing broken of dirty, No furniture turned over like it was yesterday. It was just all clean. Even tough Dale wasn’t there, B wouldn’t leave me there alone for him to come back and do it again, so we just sat and talked about when and why Dale started abusing me. " About two months into the relationship," I started "When I went to the mall with you, Lance, and Christopher, he slapped me and screamed at me and said he didn’t want me seeing, talking to, about, or even thinking about Christopher anymore and if I did, MUCH worse would happen and that was a promise!" I finished with tears flooding my eyes and pouring down my cheeks. "That’s why I shied away from the guys." Hugging me she promised everything would be okay. Then she sat comforting me, and convinced me to let her stay the night, so we fell asleep in the living room.

The next morning I woke up to glass breaking, and it scared me because the first thing that popped into my head when I didn’t see B was 'oh my God Dale's back' but I was calmed at the sight of B running across the kitchen with a broom shoeing my cat out. "Hey gurlie! I see I woke you up. Sorry about the plate!" " I don't care they were Dales mothers. So what are you going to do today?" I asked her. "I don't know whatever your doing I guess." "Well, I'm not so sure I want to see Dale anymore so I want to find a place to stay." I said stroking my cat behind the ears. "Well, Christopher has some space in his house you could stay there for a while." She suggested. "No thanks. That’s what got me in trouble the first time was shopping with him. Maybe I'.. ask Randall and Livvy.". I finished.

We sat in silence until we heard Lance’s car pull up in the driveway. About three minutes later the door opened to reveal Lance and Christopher shuffle into the living room and sit on either side of me. "How are you doing sweaty?" Lance asked me. "Fine now. Dale hasn’t been here at all so that’s good." I said sighing. Right after the works rolled off of my toung, another car pulled up and screeched to a short stop with less that six inched between bumpers as a door slammed vigorously.
