Chapter 3
"Hey Addison, you wanna dance?" Chris smiled.
Addison returned the smile, "Sure Chris." She stood up and they walked out onto the dance floor. "Emily, would you like to join me?" JC said standing up. Emily nodded, and they went out to the floor and immediately Emily started dancing up against JC's muscular body. His tight black shirt accented his chest nicely, and he had a pair of dark fit jeans on to match.
"Damn it, I blew my chance, I should have asked her," Justin groaned.
"You like Addison?" Lance questioned. Justin nodded. "Now she's gonna come back to the table with the 'I'm tired right now, but maybe later' excuse when I ask her to dance, and I'll never ever see her again," Justin rambled.
"Whoa, Justin buddy, calm down there," Lance laughed. A pair of skinny blonde girls walked up and asked the two to dance, and they agreed, and followed them to the floor.
Chris and Addison were laughing at Joey trying to pick up a girl when the song ended.
"You've got some moves," Chris grinned at Addison. She smiled, "Thanks, but I can't dance, what are you talking about?"
"What? Girl, you've got some skills," Chris smiled. Addison rolled her eyes as the songs started to speed up again. Addison smiled at him. She was attracted to him, in some strange way.
"So Em," JC smiled, "Got anyone of the opposite sex in your life?"
Emily laughed, "That sucked. You could have just asked if I had a boyfriend, I still see what you're trying to get at." JC blushed, and laughed. "Do you?"
"No, not at the moment, but I've got my eyes on a few of them," she replied.
"Same here," JC smiled. He put his head down as they slow danced, "Particularly you," he mumbled.
"What?" Emily smiled, hearing what JC had said.
"Nothing," JC blushed, "I didn't say anything."
"Yes you did, I heard you, Joshua Scott, you said particularly me, I heard you."
JC's face turned ten shades of red, "Well, I like you already, after about," he paused and looked at his watch, "10 hours, I think you're intelligent, witty, adorable, and not to mention gorgeous."
Emily smiled, "That was good, that was actually very sweet, thank you."
Justin walked back to the booth they had, and stared at Addison dancing with Chris. Lance and Joey were sitting with him. "She's beautiful, isn't she," Justin sighed.
"Who?" Joey laughed.
"Addison," Justin replied with a fist under his chin, "I already blew my chance with her though."
"How?" Joey asked.
"Chris asked her to dance, and they've been out there the entire time, I should have asked, should have asked her out something," Justin replied.
"So ask her to dance when she comes back," Lance said nonchalantly. "I'll try," Justin said. Just then, Chris and Addison came walking over to the booth laughing. "Have fun out there?" Joey smiled. Addison nodded.
"Girl wore me out!" Chris exclaimed, "I'm parkin' it here."
"I'm not tired, I have so much energy right now, I wanna get out there, who wants to join me?" Addison smiled, smiling at the guys. "By the way, were is Em?"
"She's out there somewhere with Jayce, they've been dancin up a storm since we got here," Joey answered, as he began to stand up to go with Addison. Justin shot up quickly, "I'll go with you Addie," he smiled, shooting Joey a look.
"Cool," she smiled, as they headed out to the dance floor. A song started, and the two started dancing, Justin trying to inch his way close to her.
Sweat was pouring from JC's face as him and Emily came to the table. "My god, what have you been doing out there?" Chris laughed.
"Dancing our asses off," Emily smiled, "The boy can dance."
JC smiled, "Yeah, but you have got some moves on you."
"Oh god," Chris laughed, rolling his eyes, "Are they gonna be like this for the rest of the night?" Everyone laughed at his comment.
"Where's Addie?" Emily questioned.
"Out there with Justin," Lance replied, gesturing towards the dance floor.
"Uh, oh," Emily smiled. "What's uh oh?" JC asked.
"He likes her doesn't he," Emily said, watching Justin smile at Addison's every move.
"No, what are you talking about?" Chris replied sarcastically.
"She isn't gonna hook up with him right away, you guys just might want to warn him," Emily advised. "Why?" JC asked.
"Because, she's afraid of getting close to people anymore. After her mom died, and now her sister has cancer, she feels like everyone she comes to love dies, or leaves or whatever, she's had a lot of hard breakups with guys too," Emily explained.
"Well, Justin has a problem then," Joey said, "He is already crushed on her."
"You guys better tell him soon, or he's gonna be heartbroken, and I know you don't want that to happen, you guys have to live with him," Emily laughed.
"So, are you having fun tonight?" Justin asked Addison, as he put his arms around her waist.
"Yes," Addison replied, "I'm glad just to get my mind off of things right now."
"This must be tough for you, Addie, may I call you that?" Justin smiled. Addison nodded, "Only people I like can call me that, so go for it."
Justin smiled weakly at her, "But anyways, I mean, if you ever need anyone to talk to, I know I will be there for you, and so will the rest of the guys. I know we've only known each other for a day, but I love your company, both you and Emily." All Addison could do was smile.
Justin began to lean in to kiss her. Addison knew what he was doing. She put her hand between them, "Justin, no, now is not the time for me, I can't get involved with anyone right now, I'm sorry," Justin hung his head, "It's okay, I understand," he frowned. The rest of the dance went on in awkward silence.
Justin down another beer, as he leaned back against the booth. "Jus, I think you should stop drinking," JC advised.
Justin just laughed. "Why?" he replied, obviously drunk, "The girl I like thinks I'm gonna die, and I blew my chance with her, so once again, I just wasted my time," he slurred.
"Look, I'll talk to you tomorrow, but right now you're too drunk for me to even want to converse with you," JC, sighed, walking out to the dance floor to find Emily. Justin sat and watched Addison dance with Joey, and sighed, slamming his head on the table.
