Chapter 26
At 4:10 all the guys were at Kevin’s house. They were all outside by the pool talking (mostly planning) about celebrating. Christin, who was coming back from the kitchen carrying a glass of water, was walking in front of the pool towards the guys, when Nick got up and started jogging towards her. When Nick got to her, he suddenly picked her up and threw her the pool. “Oh my god. Nick you are so dead.” Christin yelled as she resurfaced.
“Oh yeah. I would like to see you try to take me.” Nick shoot back while laughing hysterically.
Christin started to swim to the side of the pool and pulled her self up out of the pool when she reached the side. “Well, physically I probably couldn’t take you but mentally I could. You do remember that last night I agreed to be your manager which means I schedule all your appointments for tour dates, photo shoots, and promo stuff. So I really control how much free time you get. And from your concert last night I can tell you that your fans really love you so I can really make your life hell.” Christin smiled falsely and talked sarcastically.
“Hey you can’t do that though Can she do that for real Kev?” Nick turned to Kevin.
“She can’t because it won’t only affect your life but ours as well too. But if you get technical she can.” Kevin answered.
“But she wouldn’t do that to us.” Brian said. “She might hurt me. I have a weak heart.” Brian smiled for sympathy.
“Brian you get a sympathy card but the rest of get nothing. Now try and push my buttons and I will make your life hell and trust me I can do it and you won’t like any part of it.” Christin smiled sweetly but jokingly.
“No you can’t because if you do I will throw your ass in the pool and you won’t like any part of that.” Kevin smiled the same smile.
”Try it and see who likes it more.” Christin continued to smile.
“Okay.” Kevin got up out of his seat and walked over towards Christin.
“Go for it.” “Throw her in.” “Make her be sorry for ever threatening us.” Came from Howie, A.J., and Nick.
“I’m already wet Kev. What good is it going to do?” Christin tried to back up.
“A lot.” Kevin stated while he finally picked her up and threw her over his shoulder.
“Put me down. If you don’t I’ll…I’ll…”
“You’ll what?” Kevin asked as he walked up to the edge of the pool.
“I’ll make you’re life a living hell.” Christin knew Kevin was going to her in no matter what she said.
“Sorry. Wrong answer.” Kevin let Christin go. Christin grabbed onto Kevin’s arm as she was being dropped, dragging Kevin in the pool with her.
Christin came up laughing. Kevin, on the other hand, came up slightly pissed.
“Plan backfire much, Kevin? Or did you mean to do that?” Christin laughed in a smart ass way.
“Shut-up” Kevin splashed water on her.
Christin splashed back and pretty soon an all out war was going on between the two. All the while, A.J., Brian, Howie, and Nick were laughing really loudly.
Christin saw this and decided that she didn’t think it was at all funny and maybe she should do something about it. She stopped splashing and so did Kevin. Christin nodded her head towards the other guys and Kevin got the same idea. “Mick? Nick?” Christin yelled over the laughter.
Nick stopped laughing as loudly and walked over to the edge of the pool. “What?” Nick asked nicely.
“Help me outta the pool?”
“Sure.” Nick held his hand out for Christin. Christin took his hand but instead of pulling herself out of the pool, she pulled Nick in the pool. Nick came up and started to swim towards Christin. “No fair. Why you pulled me in the pool? I didn’t do nothing.”
“Um…Correction. You threw me in first.”
”You’re going to pay for this.” Nick picked Christin up and threw her.
By then you couldn’t stop the laughter coming from Brian, A.J., and Howie. They were laughing so hard that they didn’t even notice that Kevin was getting out of the pool. Kevin snuck up on Brian and grabbed, dragged, and threw him in the pool. “What the-” Brian yelled as he was being pushed in. Then splashed as he hit the water. A.J., seeing Kevin coming towards him and Howie, took off his shoes and shirt and said, “I’ll help ya Kevin. I know I’m going to get wet anyways.” He pulled off his socks and ran towards the pool and jumped in. Howie did the same.
“Ah cool. A.J. come here. Let me see your tattoos.” Christin said noticing exactly how many tattoos A.J. actually had.
“Yeah sure.” A.J. swam towards Christin. Christin started to look at A.J.’s tattoos. She put her finger on one, then traced it down to another one. She did that all the way down his arm, stopping at each tattoo.
“ ‘Laugh now.’ I like that.” Christin said looking at it.
“Yeah I might get ‘Cry Later’ later in life.”
“Cool.”
“I have 69 on my stomach.”
“Let me see.” A.J. and Christin semi-swam to the side of the pool. A.J. pulled himself up onto the cement. “See.” A.J. pointed to his belly button.
“That’s tight. I’ve always wanted a tattoo but they say that in this business it doesn’t look very professional.” Christin said in a disappointing voice.
“Well it depends on where you put it and what you get. If you get a snake on your arm no. If you get a butterfly on your stomach ok.”
“I want a tattoo around my belly-button of a sun or a rose o my ankle.”
“Well tell you what. Ever decide to get that tattoo and I will be right there and I’ll even get another one.”
“Okay. Deal. When are we going to get them?” Christin smiled.
“How bout right now. We can tell the guys we are going to get some food are some shit like that.” A.J. suggested.
“Okay. That I can do. But first I gotta change. I brought some clothes from my place and I gotta get them.”
“Yeah ok. We gonna have to stop by my place anyways. I gotta get changed too.” A.J. smiled. He was having a few nasty thoughts about the two at the mention of changing.
“Okay.” Christin pulled her self out of the pool.
Nick noticed that and yelled out. “Where you going Christin?” Christin was halfway to the house, turned around and said, “I’ll be back. Kevin, can I talk to ya for a moment?”
“Yeah sure.” Kevin got out of the pool and walked over to Christin. “What’s up?”
“I’m only going to get some food with A.J. I’m going to go change. I told him I brought some clothes cause you told me too. So go with that story.”
“Okay. Can I tell the other guys where you went?”
“After we leave.”
“Okay.”
Christin ran into the house. She changed in to a pink v-neck that showed off her mid-drift and in to some blue-jean shorts and slipped her favorite sandals on. She walked downstairs to fin A.J. but he was already in his Ford Expedition® waiting for her. She climbed in the SUV and they were on their way.
