Chapter 35
AJ started walking back towards the house. When he got back in the house, instead of going
upstairs, he went into the living room where the rest of the guys were talking.
“I can’t believe you just let her leave with someone you don’t even know. For all you she could
be some kind of crook or something.” Brian complained.
“Well, Christin seemed to know her, and she was drunk. Besides, I remember her mentioning an
Amanda.” Kevin replied.
“Well, have you seen her picture? Do you know for a fact that was Amanda Ashford?” Brian was
still going on.
“Relax B. That was Amanda. I remember her from The Firm and the club.” AJ said, calming Brian
down.
“Oh, ok.” Brian gave in.
“Guys, I gotta go back upstairs and deal with the witch.” AJ walked out of the room and up the
stairs. Lilia was waiting for him at the top of the stairs.
“What took you so long?”
“I had to talk to the guys.”
“I really think we should discuss what to do about our baby.”
“Well, how far along are you?”
“That’s the problem AJ. I didn’t want to tell you, but I guess I have no choice, I’m a month
along.”
“Well, make an appointment for as soon as possible with a local optometrist. I’ll go with you, and
we’ll see what’s up.”
“I already made an appointment.”
“When?”
“Monday morning, at nine.”
“Okay. Go home and get some rest. Meet me at my place at eight, we’ll go to breakfast first.”
“Yeah, that would be great.” Lilia got up and kissed AJ on the lips. AJ pulled away. He really
didn’t want this womans kisses, he wanted Christins kisses. ‘But I’ll probably never have those’
he thought to himself.
“See ya Lilia.” AJ walked into a nearby room, leaving Lilia by herself in the hall.
Lilia walked down the stairs and slipped out the front door.
AJ double checked the hall and then checked out the window to make sure that Lilia had left.
Luckily, she had.
Christin woke up to bright sunshine, and water running. She didn’t really even know where
she was. She saw that she was fully dressed, so that meant that she wasn’t there to have sex. Her
thought were interrupted by her body though. She jumped off of the bed and ran into what she
assumed was the bathroom. It was. She located the toilet and started to throw-up.
She was sitting on the floor beside the toilet when the water stopped. Amanda poked her head out
of the shower. “Is hangover hell too bad for you this morning?”
“Amanda? What are you doing here?” Christin said softly.
“If you hadn’t been so drunk last night maybe you would remember.” Amanda grabbed a towel,
wrapped herself up and stepped out of the shower.
“Remember what?” Christin said nonchalantly.
“Remember that I had to pick your drunk ass up last night, and that not only am I surprising you,
but your father is also surprising you.”
“WHAT?” Christin yelled but soon regretted it.
“Yes, your daddy dearest is here to surprise you. Should I give him a call, he’s right across the
hall and down two.”
“No. That is ok.” Christin got up and rubbed her head. “Manda, you got any asprin?”
“Yeah.” Amanda walked into the room and grabbed her purse, dug through it, and handed
Christin a bottle of advil.
“Thanks. What time is it?”
“Eleven-thirty. Why?”
“I gotta get back to Kevins.”
“Why?”
“I dunno. Maybe my car, my purse, my pager, my cell phone, my cloths. Anything not of any
importance, tell me.” Christin said, still softly, while popping two advils into her mouth.
“Oh. Ok.”
“Do you have any cloths I can borrow?”
“Yeah. They might be a little small, but I guess they’ll be hoochie. Just the way you like them."
“Yeah, whatever.”
Amanda got Christin a pair of shorts and a tank top. “Here.”
Christin dressed quickly in the bathroom and walked out.
“Girl, how come there’s a bandage on your stomach?”
“Tattoo.” was all that Christin said.
“TATTOO?”
“Yeah, can we get going?”
“Not ‘til I see your tattoo.”
“Later, after I clean it.” Christin walked out of the room with Amanda following behind.
