Chapter 46
Nick was just settling down to watch a movie with Margo, when the telephone rang.
“I’ll get it.” Nick said. He picked up the phone and said, “Hello?”
“Nick. It’s Christin.”
“Oh. Hey, wassup?”
“Nick are you busy? If you are just tell me.” Christin asked.
“I was just about to watch a movie, no biggie. What do ya need?” Nick answered.
“Ok, well, you don’t have to, but can you please, please give me a ride from the
airport to a hotel? Only if you’re not busy.” Christin pleaded nicely.
“Why are you at the airport?” Nick asked.
“Um. I was going back home, but my flight got cancelled.”
“Oh. Why not call AJ or Kevin then? Plus, I thought you were leaving
tomorrow.”
“Well for one, Kevin’s not home, and I’m not talking to AJ cause of his bitch of a
girlfriend, or ex girlfriend.” Christin’s tone growing bitter.
“Oh, I see you met Lilia. What happened?”
“Well, lets see. I had NO idea she was and she called me a bitch and she hit me.”
Christin whinned.
“She hit you?!”
“None of us like her either. I doubt AJ even likes her.” Nick cracked.
“Well, hey, who probably does? Anywayz, she’s on her way to New York and I’m
stuck at the airport because my flight got cancelled due to fog.”
“Oh, yeah, I’ll be there in a few.Ok. What gate are you at?” Nick asked.
“I’ll be waiting by the front. I’ll be there right as you drive up. Cool?” Christin
started walking towards the main terminal door.
“Yeah, fine. See ya in a few.”
“Yeap.” Nick and Christin hung up at the same time.
“Margo, wanna go?” Nick asked sweetly.
“Go get that woman on the phone? Sure, I’d be thrilled to!” Margo sarcastically
replied.
“Margo! She’s just a friend. My manager. Puh-lease?” Nick explained.
“Fine, I’ll go. Let me get my shoes on.” Margo pushed herself off the couch.
“Thank you.” Nick went to find his shoes.
30 minutes later Nick pulled up to a very bored Christin sitting on a bench alone.
He pulled up to the curb, and him and Margo got out.
“Nick! I was starting to worry.” Christin got up from the bench and walked to Nick
and hugged him. Margo cleared her throat.
“Christin...” She let go of Nick when he said her name.
“You must be Margo. I’m Christin, the boys’ manager.” She held out her and when
she noticed the woman standing behind Nick.
“Yeah, thats right.” Margo shook her hand.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t know that Nick had company. If I had known, I wouldn’t have
asked him. I’m very sorry.” Christin apologized.
“No, its ok. We were just watchng a movie. No prob.” Margo assured her.
“No, I still feel bad, Nick should said something. I would have called a cab. Please
don’t hate me for ruining your evening.” Christin really felt bad about it. “Just give
me a ride to the nearest hotel or motel, and you can get back to your evening.” She
finished.
“Hotel? Nick you can’t let her stay at a hotel. You have all that room at your house,
well actually at Brians house, but I don’t think he’d mind.” Margo pleaded.
Nick couldn’t help but laugh at Margo. One minute she’s jealous of Christin, then
the next minute she’s trying to convince him that Christin should stay with them.
“Fine. She’ll stay with us. Ok.”
“Nick, I don’t want to intrude. A cheap motel room till tomorrow is fine. I’m
serious.” Christin clarified.
“What kind of person would I be if I let my manager stay in a cheap motel? Now
you’re staying with me. End of dicussion.” Nick said in a matter-of-fact tone.
“Okay. But only for tonight and then tomorrow morning, early tomorrow morning,
I’m gone. Okay.” Christin stated.
“Cool. Finally someone that’s not of the male race to talk to. All my friends are busy
when I’m not, and when I got things to do, they don’t. So all I get to see is Nick.
Not that I’m complaining.” Margo laughed.
“Well, lets get a-goin’.” Nick ran to his jeep and opened the door for Christin and
Margo. Christin climbed into the back, and Margo sat in the front. Nick ran around
the front of the jeep to the drivers seat. Ready to roll ladies?”
“Lets roll.” Margo said.
