Chapter 50

The next three months came and went. Christin decided she didn’t want to go to the Movie Awards with Mark. She made all the arrangements for the boys to go to the island. They arrived back at the end of June. All business thigs were made through Kevin and Christin.

“Amanda, can we talk in my office? I’ve ordered lunch, we can eat and talk.” Christin asked nicely.

“Yeah, sure. Just let me finish up here and I’ll be right there.” Amanda continued to file papers.

“Sure.” Christin started walking back towards her office.

When Amanda walked in, she wasn’t expecting to see the sight she saw. She saw Christin walking frantically around her office, stopping here and there to straighten things. “Christin? Are you okay?”

Christin spun around real quick. “Manda. I’m fine. Shut the door. What I have to say has to stay between us. Promise me.”

“Of coarse. Whats wrong?” Amanda sat down ready for whatever was to come.

Christin told Amanda was going on with her, and answered all of Amanda’s questions. She was answering Amanda’s fiftieth question.

“What are you gonna do about work?” Amanda asked.

“First, I am going to quit being the boys manager. I’ll give it a few more months, then I’m out. And for here, I have enouph vacation, during that, I have sixty days.”

‘ring-ring’

“The Firm. Christin Casey. How may I help you?”

“Well, well, well. Aren’t we little miss professional.”

Christin laughed. “Nick. Isn’t this a pleasant surprise! So what is this all about?”

‘knock-knock’

“Come in.”

“Come in.” Nick mimicked.

The door swung open and there stood Nick.

“Oh my god! Nick!” She screamed into the phone.

Nick hung up his phone. “I’m right here, you can hang up.”

Christin hung up her phone and ran over to Nick and hugged him. “What are you doing here?”

“Did you forget we were gonna be in Cali? I thougnt I’d come visit.” Nick let Christin go. “Wow, look at you. I like the new haircut.” Nick played with her hair.

“Well, I had it layered, but I didn’t like it, so I cut it even at the chin.” Christin ran her fingers through her hair. Amanda cleared her throat. “Oh. Nick. You remember Amanda. Amanda, this is Nick.” Christin made introductions.

‘knock-knock’

Everyone looked towards the door. “Oh my god! Kevin!” Christin ran from Nick to Kevin and hugged him tight, while Kevin picked her up. “Oh my god! It’s so good to see you!”

“It’s good to see you too.” Kevin said, hugging her tighter.

“Ok. Kevin, you have to put me down before I get sick.” Chrsitin joked, half serious.

“Yes, Kevin. We really need to give her some space.” Amanda said as she rushed over to Chrsitin. Kevin sat Christin down and looked at her strange.

“You ok Chrsitin?” Amanda asked.

Christin held her mouth and shook her head ‘yes’.

Kevin and Nick onlooked with curiosity in there eyes. “Christin, whats wrong?”

“Kev, I’m fine. I’ve just been a little sick. Probably a cold or something.” She said weekly. She stood up straight. “So, tell me. How did the island go? Did you get time to relax, Nick?”

Of coarse. Sadly to say, it was a remote island. No sweet lil honnies. Not that I would hook up with them. Cause I got Margo, who is da bomb!.”

“I’m happy for you. Where are the rest of the guys?”

“Right here.” Brian said from the door.

“Brian! Howie!” Christin said, really enthused. “AJ.” Chrsitins tone dropped to something serious, but quickly recovered. “Well, don’t just stand there. Come give me a hug!”

Brian and Howie quickly walked over to her and gave her a hug. AJ was a little bit more hesitant, but he didn’t want to give them away, so he gave her a quick hug, which left a lingering effect.

“Um. Christin can I talk to you for a sec in the hall? Please?” Amanda semi-pleaded.

“K, guys I’ll be back in a sec.” Chrsitin and Amanda walked out of the office and shut the door. “Wassup?”

“You should quit right now. They’re all in your office. There’s no better time. Plus it would be best. One less thing to stress you out. And another thing, I don’t think you should be around AJ, its just not very healthy.” Amanda concluded in a whisper.

Christin thought for a few minutes, then walked back into the office. Amanda threw her hands in the air and walked away.

“Sorry bout that guys. So wassup?”

“Nuttin, we just thought we would come and visit our favorite manager.” Brian joked.

“I’m mad at you. Don’t talk to me. You either, D.” Chrsitin said, trying to keep a straight face.

“Me?” Brian pointed at himself. “But no one ever gets mad at me.” Brian pouted.

“Ok, you’re mad at him. But why me?” Howie asked confused.

“You both ran off before I could really get to know you!”

“Sorry.” They both mumbled.

“Naw, its ok. It’s all good.”

“Hey Chris. We came over here to see if you would like to go to lunch with us.”

“Yeah, sure. I ordered lunch but, you see it hasn’t showed up. Um, question though. Can my friend Amanda come, I promised I would eat lunch with her today.”

“Yeah, sure, the more the merrier.” Howie replied.

“Ok. What are you guys driving?”

“Well, we’re not driving. We have a limo. And a car with body-guards following us.” Brian explained.

“Oh. Ok. Well, I’m gonna drive my car with Amanda. Just follow me. Cool? Kewl.”

“Kewl.” Nick said.

“Ok, go get your bodyguards together. I’ll meet you in the parking lot.”

Everyone got up from where they were and left the office, AJ being last. After he checked to make sure they were gone, he whispered. “We need to talk.”

“Later AJ. Later.” Christin replied and walked out to find Amanda.

‘Yeah, whatever.’ AJ thought.
