Chapter 56

“Christin’s a little bitchy today, huh?” Kevin asked Amanda.

“She’s been really moody lately. OK. For a long time, but it’s okay. I still love her like a sister.” Amanda hopped off the bed. “So whatcha all up to?”

“Nothing. Can you excuse me? I have a phone call to make.” Brian said.

“Yeah. Go for it.” Amanda waved her hand.

Brian walked out of the room.

TRL had juts come back on announcing the top 10 videos for the day.

“Aw man. We’re number four. That sucks.” AJ said.

“And you’re number one video for today…” Carson made a weird face into the camera and then the screen cut into the video. *NSYNC came on the screen singing “It’s Gonna Be Me.”

“Now this is just plain wrong in so many reasons.” AJ clicked off the television, not caring to watch it no longer.

Christin walked around the hotel ending up in the gym. The gym had everything from a swimming pool to a basketball court, inside and outside, to a full workout room. Christin walked around looking at the different workout machines that the hotel had to offer.

“Excuse me?” A little girl probably about six tugged on Christin’s shirt. Christin couldn’t help but smile. The little girl was so cute.

“Yes?” Christin asked squatting down to be eye level with the little girl.

“Are you with the Backstreet Boys?” She asked wide-eyed and so seriously Christin had to laugh. “Aw, you ain’t.” she assumed from Christin’s laughter.

Christin really didn’t want to lie or be mean to this little girl, but she couldn’t tell her whom she was with until she found out who the little girl was with first. “What is your name?”

“Melissa.”

“That is such a pretty name.” Christin complimented. “So, Melissa, Who are you with? Mom, Dad, Sister, Aunt, Friends?”

“My mummy.” She pointed to a treadmill.

Melissa shook her head up and down.

“Well Missy, do you want to meet the Backstreet Boys. If you do…”Christin held her finger over her mouth.

Melissa shook her head yeah really fast.

“Go and talk to your mommy about it.” She smiled at Melissa.

The girl ran as fast as her little legs would take her and Christin followed at a slower rate behind her. Melissa started talking a mile a minute. Her mother looked over at Christin who was walking up to her then.

“No offense or anything, but how do I know you know the Backstreet Boys? That you’re not just getting my little girl’s hopes up.” She asked sternly.

“I understand your caution about this. I’m Christin Casey. The boys and I are close friends. They invited me, because according to Kev I needed a vacation. If you want you can come up with Missy here or you can let me take her but either why, I assure that no harm will come to her.” She smiled her business smile.

“Please Mummy. PLEASE.” Melissa pleaded.

“Okay. I’ll let her go , if you tell me your room number. I do have a few things I need to do and it may be a little easier to do if I were alone. Things would go a lot quicker. ” She agreed.

“Room three twelve. I’m sharing a room with my best friend, Amanda.”

“Okay. It is two twenty at the moment. I’ll be here till three. Then, like I said I have a few errands. If it is past three, please bring her to room one oh three. Her sister will be there. But please have her back to the room by three forty five.

“Of course. No problem. What did you say your name was again?”

“Oh. My name is Harmony Wieser.”

”Ok. Ms. Wieser, I promise to be responsible and have Missy back to you by three forty five. Come on Missy. Let’s go.”

Christin didn’t know why she was doing this, but she felt like it was something she had to do. She did promise herself that she wasn’t going to make a habit out of it. In fact she wouldn’t even be seeing them in a few months.

The elevator door opened and the two females stepped inside as Christin pressed the button. “So Missy, which one is your favorite?”

“My favorite is Nick. He is so cute.” She giggled excitedly. “Which one is yours?”

“I don’t really have a favorite. They are all real sweet, cool, and nice.” The door to the elevator opened and there stood Q with a few other guards.

“Christin.” He nodded to her. “And who is this little one.” He bended down and looked at Melissa.

“Q. This is Melissa. Missy, this is Q. He’s a few of mine. Aren’t you?”

Q stood up and replied, “Of course.”

“Are they still in my room or did they finally give up on annoying Amanda?” She asked with a smile.

“They are still annoying.” Q laughed with a double meaning.

“Later Q.” She started to walk away. Upon reaching her room, she pulled out her key card. Opening the door, Kevin stood right there not meaning to scare her. He did anyways, alarming Melissa too.

“Oh my God Kevin.” She started to shake. “You scared me.” Her and Melissa walked into the room where everyone looked at them.

“I’m sorry Chris. Are you okay? You’re shaking.” He touched her shoulder.

“I’m fine. Just a little shaken, not stirred.” She joked. She then introduced Melissa. “Everyone this is Melissa. Missy this is Kevin, Nick, AJ, Howie, and my friend, Amanda. Where’s Brian?”

“You know Brian. Always talking on the darn phone. Calling this person and that person.” Nick laughed.

“Oh. Well, I met Missy downstairs in the gym. She walked up to me and asked if I was with you. Well the face she made when she thought I wasn’t, well I had to bring her up to meet you. I hope you don’t mind.” She smiled weakly.

“No not at all.” In truth they really didn’t mind. The younger fans, like Melissa, were the ones they really liked to talk with.

“Ok. Great. Well then you all socialize for a few and well, Amanda can I talk to you outside in the hall maybe?”

“Sure.” Amanda continued to flip through the magazine she was looking at.

“Like maybe, NOW.” Christin remarked.

“Ohh.” Amanda put down the magazine and followed Christin outside.

No one really had time to sit and wonder what Christin was up too because Melissa started asking questions, which of course they answered.
