"WOOHOOT! I won again Carter! Kiss it baby" Em said, as she started doing a little dance around the room.
"You're a cheater. A big, fat cheater"
"No one calls me a cheater and gets away with it” She announced as she ran over and tried to tackle him.
Nick had more of an advantage and pinned Em in a second. He was holding down her arms so that it was hard for her to escape.
“So much for tackling me”
“You ain’t seen nothin yet” She said, than lightly kneaded him in the stomach, just enough to make him let go of her hands.
She took this advantage and started to tickle him. He was ticklish, but that didn’t mean he couldn’t get her back. They both started tickling and rolling around on the floor until they ended up in the same position they had started in. This time though, he was holding her hands down.
“Now what are you gonna do?” She asked.
“Oh I don’t know”
“Aaww, are you having a hard time thinking?” She asked jokingly.
“Shuddup! Just because I’m blonde doesn’t mean I can’t think on my own. Nevermind, that made no sense at all” He said, as they both laughed.
They stopped suddenly and just stared into each other’s eyes. They began to move close, anticipating what would happen next.
“Yo guys, what are ya doing in here?” AJ asked as he stood in the doorway with Amy right behind him.
“Uh, I was just helping Em up, right?”
“Yeah, he was just helping me up”
“Well, we were just gonna pick up some dinner and wanted to see what you guys wanted”
“We’re going to McDonalds” Amy said.
“What a surprise there” Em said unenthusiastically.
“I’ll have the usual, J and Em will have”
“Number 5 supersized with a Sprite” She finished for him.
“Okays, we’ll be back in ten minutes” AJ replied, grabbing a hold of Amy’s hand and dragging her out the door.
“Something tells me they’ll be taking longer then ten minutes”
“So what should we do until than?”
“Listen Nick, about what happened”
“You mean what ALMOST happened”
“Right, what-almost-happened-never-happened-because-it-was-just-something-that-wasn’t-suppose-to-happen-and-I-mean-we-were-just-acting-on-feelings-we-don’t-have-or-do-have-and-well-there-were-no-feelings-and-well”
“Em, shuddup! You’re rambling and making no sense at all”
“Yeah-I-tend-to-do-that-when-I-get-really-nervous-I-don’t-know-why-it-just-happens-and-I-get-all-flustered-a-lot”
“Em, you’re doing it again”
“That I am. So what do you wanna talk about?”
“So what almost happened doesn’t matter to you and means nothing?”
“I thought that’s all it was. Nothing”
“I can’t believe you!”
“What? You’re the one who almost kissed me”
“Excuse me? You tackled me when I come to think of it”
“You were being a jackass and complaining like a two year old if my mind serves me correctly”
“Well if you would just let me win one damn game, I wouldn’t have complained in the first place”
“You expect me to do that? Yeah, okay, in about five million years”
“Oh and who’s acting childish now?”
“The nerve of you, Carter! It’s just a stupid game!”
“To you it is, but I love that game and I hate losing! Especially to pretty girls like you!” He said without realizing it.
“What did you say?” She asked surprisingly.
“I said, I think you’re pretty, prettier than any girl I’ve ever met” He said, moving a piece of hair behind her ear.
“No one’s ever told me that” She said, blinking back tears.
“It’s the truth” He responded, and without a second thought, kissed her passionately.
She wrapped her arms around his neck as his tongue probed her mouth. They were getting a little too into it, but what the hell did they care? Then suddenly stopped when they heard a car pull up.
“Damn! Why they back so soon?”
“Let’s hope AJ’s harmones kick in and they stay there a little while”
“You’re bad. All the more to like ya” He said, and they continued to make out passionately.
