April 1993~~~ 16 AJ McLean, or back then known as Alex McLean, walked into a recording studio. There he was meeting 2 of his closet friends 13 year old Nick Carter and 20 year old Howie Dorough. And a little after that some guy named Kevin Richardson. Alex mumbled something as he sat down in a chair waiting. He was a little angry. His twin sister Katie, was already a famous singer over in Europe. With 1st million she made their mom let her buy a brand new car, which was a convertible. Katie wouldn't let AJ drive it, which he wasn't too happy about. When he said that she was being selfish, she kicked him out of the car and made him walk 1 ½ miles to school. Then there was his love life. He couldn't get a date with a girl his age only younger, and he really couldn't do anything with a 13 or 14 year old girl. "Hell even little Nicky has a crush on a girl, who everybody knows likes him" Alex thought laughing to him self. Nick has a crush 12 year old Maria, who just moved into the house, next door to Nick, with her parents, the previous summer. Just then Nick walked in with his mom, and Howie followed them. Then their manager came in and the meeting got started. A week later was the official start of the Backstreet Boys with the 2 new members Kevin Richardson and Brian Littrell.

June 1996~~~ Orlando. "Our first free" AJ said to his sister Katie. AJ, Katie, Howie, Nick along with Maria, Kevin and Brian and Brian's girlfriend Sandy were all at Brian's new house for a B-B- Q. "Lets see how long it takes for you to get arrested" Katie said laughing, as she pulled of AJ's hat off of his head, to reveal his bright green hair. Everybody started laughing except for AJ. "And well I'm not actually free, since for some stupid reason your record company put you as the opening act for my tour" Katie said rolling her eyes. "It's because you're famous here and we aren't' AJ said. "At least I get my own tour bus this time, you remember what happened last time don't you" Katie asked. "How could we forget" Howie said. "What happen" Sandy asked, since she wasn't' on tour with them, let alone knew Brian. "Ok the bunks are made out of wood, so what Nick did was he saw threw the cross pieces that held the frame together and supported the mattress" Brian started. "And so after about an hour or 2 of Kevin lying down on it, Kevin came crashing down on top of me, scared the crap out of me. To make matters worse, Kevin was sleeping on his stomach, so he fell down he was top of me it looked like, we were doing something, so AJ saw this and immediately thought that something sexual was going on between the 2 of us" Katie said. Everybody was laughing except for Brian. "Food!" Brian yelled, and everybody made their way over to the 2 tables that were outside. "Where are Nick and Maria" Brian asked. "Go Nicky" AJ yelled. "He is 16, thats too young" Brian said. "No, I first had sex when I was 16" AJ replied. "Only you bone" Brian said. "They are up in that old tree house" Katie said as she looked over in that direction . "Maria! Nick! Food" Brian yelled. They saw Nick climb down and ran over. "Where's Maria" Brian asked handing Nick a plate of food. "Her shirt got stuck on a branch and she can't get it undone, and she's scared of heights and that she is going to fall" Nick replied shoving food in his mouth. "So you left her there" Kevin asked. "My food was going to get cold, why I shouldn't have done that" Nick asked. "No" "Nick, you really should go help her, that tree house has been there for as long as I can remember, and when me and AJ were 14, it was supposed to be taken down since it was declared unsafe, didn't you see the sign" Katie said. "No" Nick replied walking back over there with everybody following them. Nick climbed back up, thats when he and Maria felt it really move. "Maria come on, I'll help you down" Nick said, and walked over to her. "How do we get out" Nick asked sticking his head outside. "Get to the edge, and then 1 of the guys will help you down" Sandy said. "And whatever you do Nick don't stay standing" Katie added. Nick screamed as he fell through the floor and landed on the a lawn chair. "Nick are you ok" Brian asked. "I'm fine" Nick said as he went to sit up, but fell back. "Ok maybe I'm not" he said and laid back down. "Help me" Maria screamed. Kevin climbed up to the tree house, but didn't go in. "Maria, just gently walk over here and I'll get you down" Kevin said gently. "I"m gonna fall threw" Maria said started to cry, because she thought Nick was seriously hurt, and that the same thing was gonna happen to her. "No, your not. Your not 5'11 and you don't weight 170 pounds, thats why Nick fell threw" Kevin replied. Maria tiptoed over to the edge and grabbed onto Kevin's hand. "Now just climb onto my back" Kevin said as he moved up a little so she could do so. He climbed back down with Maria on his back, piggy back style. "Nick, don't ever do anything like that again" Kevin said, as he bent down to let Maria off of his back. "Do you need to go to the hospital" Brian asked the 2. "No" Maria said. "Probably not" Nick replied. "Oh and for this tour, Maria is coming with us, since it's the summer and her parents let her" Nick added.

Three weeks later ~~~~ on the guys tour bus ~~~~ Katie walked onto, since both buses were stopped at a local restaurant. "Anybody here" she yelled. She saw that somebody was in the bathroom. She also wondered where Nick and maria were. She heard giggling towards the back of the bus where the bunks where. Every ones curtains were open, except for one. She opened and saw Nick and Maria making out. "Now I know why there haven't been that many pranks" Katie said. "You're not going to telly anybody are you" Maria asked. "No, but you're going to have to tell them soon, since you 2 are going out" Katie said. "Are the guys going to be mad" Maria also asked. "Howie, could care less, AJ will be proud of Nick. Brian will be against it, probably. Kevin if he is in a good mood, he probably would just tell you 2 to be careful, if he is in a bad mood...." Katie said not finishing the sentence. "Here's some advice. To keep him in a good mood, Nick don't' pull any pranks on him" Katie stated looking directly at Nick, who turned away. "Nick you didn't" Maria asked. Nick nodded. "Stupid" she yelled and wacked him in the back of the head. "What happened, or do I even want to know" Katie asked. "3..2.." Nick counted down. "NICK!!!!" came Kevin's yell. They turned around to see Kevin standing there, with only a small towel that barely fit around his waist completely, it showed off his body, and still wet from his shower. "Nick, I outsmarted you this time. Before I put the shampoo, on my hair, I looked at it. It was too watery to be shampoo, and it smells really bad. Lemme guess it's AJ's hair dye" Kevin said. Nick nodded. "Mixed with Nair" Nick added. Katie and Maria started laughing. "good thing you didn't do was your hair, cause next time, you wouldn't have any" Katie said. Kevin went back into the bathroom, to change into some clothes. He came back out. "Nick, I'm warning, as soon as I can figure out something to do to you, I will do it. And if you do something like that again, I'm going to tie you to the roof of this bus and your gonna ride around the country like that" Kevin said. "Instead of that, can I tie a rope to the back of the bus, put on roller blades and hold onto the rope" Nick asked.

The tour ended in September just before Maria had to go back to school. Everybody was happy that it was ended cause they were tired of Nick's pranks. And everybody stayed away from Nick to recover from the them. Since Nick still wasn't very famous in the states, he went to school with Maria. At first they had all of their classes together, but that became a distraction and when they started kissing, while the teacher was going over the civil war, their schedules were change.

A few weeks later~~~~~"What AJ' Katie asked picking up her cell phone. "I need some money" "you spent 1 million dollars already" Katie asked. "Um yeah, on hair dye, tattoos, hookers, buying a car, McDonald's....." AJ said. "The necessities of life" Katie said laughing. "Yeah so I can borrow some money, I'll driver over and get it" AJ said. "Um no, you can't borrow money and no you can't come over" Katie said looking at her boyfriend, who was shirtless on her bed, waiting for her to get off the phone. "Why can't I come over at least' "cause I am ummmm" "ohhhh, ok but can I still get some money.....Katie.....Katie are you there!?" AJ yelled. All he got was a dial tone. "Damn" AJ mumbled.

A few hours later~~~ "Nick, buddy, my best friend" AJ said as Nick opened the door to his parents. House. Nick was home alone except for Maria, who was over. "What do you want AJ, me and Nick are busy" Maria said. "How come is it everybody is getting more action then me" AJ said as he made his way into the house. "Brian is on vacation with Sandy. Howie is down in Puerto Rico, Kevin is out with his girlfriend. Katie's boyfriend is at her house. And I have nobody" AJ cried. "Poor baby" Maria said. "So Nick, can I borrow 5,000 bucks" AJ asked. "nope" Nick said. "but" AJ asked. Nick pushed AJ towards the door. "Bye" he said and shut the door in his face. "Now where were we" Nick said. Maria kissed Nick. "We were working on our health homework" she said. "Oh yeah" Nick replied kissing her again.
