"Nick! I can't believe you did that!" Maria yelled as she drove home from the hospital. Nick was sitting in the passenger's seat looking down at his hand, which was in a bandage. "I don't' even know why you would even think of putting eggs in the microwave" Maria added. "I cook eggs in the microwave all the time at home. I accidently put in 40 minutes instead of 40 seconds and then I bumped into the microwave which cause it too go into the sink, which was full of water. It's part Katie and Kevin's fault" Nick replied.

"How is it their fault, Nick" Maria asked. "They shouldn't have left a sink full of water" Nick replied. Maria looked over at him. "Alright! It wasn't their fault. I clogged up the sink. I accidently dropped paper towels down the drain and left the water running. The microwave fell into the sink of water, while it was plugged in and running and caused an explosion and I stuck my hand in the microwave, while it was smoking. How would I know there would be a fire inside it" Nick replied. "You keep this up and Kevin's not going to let you anywhere near his house" Maria replied.

"You over exaggerating I'm like Kevin's little brother. He loves me like a brother, he would never ban me from his house' Nick said.

A week and a half later ~~~~~~ Katie and Kevin were in their car on their way home from looking at houses. They were going to move because the house they lived in was too old. They wanted to have kids and the house wasn't big enough and Nick had caused so much damage to it and if he kept doing damage the house would fall down.

Kevin turned onto the street they lived on and saw a bunch of police cars and fire trucks at the end of the block. They lived in the last house on the block. "Oh no. what did Nick do now? We weren't even home!" Kevin exclaimed. He drove to the house and he and Katie got out of the car.

"What's going on?" Kevin asked. "Are you Kevin Richardson" A police officer asked walking over to him. "Yes why?" Kevin asked. "Do you know a Nick Carter' The police officer asked. Kevin nodded. "He was on the roof of your house. He fell into a tree. He started screaming and the neighbors called us. He wouldn't let the firefighters climb up into the tree and get him out. He said he would climb down himself, well he tried too and well the tree fell into a car, with Mr. Carter still clinging to a branch" the police officer explained. "My Car?!?!" Kevin asked.

"No, it was Mr. Carter's wife's car. He won't give us her work number cause he says he doesn't want her to know what happened and there is more" The police officer replied. "Mr. Carter caused a fire on you're roof and he somehow hooked up the garden house to use the pool water to put the fire out but he didn't know the chlorine is flammable and well there no more roof or second floor to you're home, Mr. Richardson" The police officer explained. "If there was no roof how did he get into the tree" Katie asked. "He climbed onto what I guess is the pool house and climbed onto that roof and slipped and fell into the tree" The police officer said. "What the fuck was he doing at my house in the first place?"Kevin asked. "He said he wanted to make up for all other times he caused damage to you're home" The police offer replied.

"NICKOLAS GENE CARTER!!!!!!" Kevin screamed and stormed over to the car where the tree was still on top of it and the paramedics were trying to get Nick untangled from the tree.

"Oh no" Nick screamed when he saw Kevin storming over to him. "Give me one good reason why I shouldn't tell the cops to take this tree along with you, to the local paper factory where the chop up the tree and anything on it to make paper" Kevin said. "Cause I'm gonna be a daddy in ummm ahhhhh!!!!" Nick screamed. He had his hands wrapped around the branches but when he took them off to count on his fingers how many more months until he would be a father, he fell off. The paramedics struggled to pick Nick up and put him on a stretcher. "Kevin you can do whatever you want to me but please don't tell Maria" Nick said.

Maria had just hung up the phone when there was a knock on the door to her office. "Come in" She yelled. The door opened and Katie and Kevin walked in. "Hi. What's up" Maria asked. "Kevin is everything alright? You seemed pissed' Maria added. "No everything is not alright. Nick set my house on fire. There is no roof or second floor. He fell off the roof of the pool house into a tree which fell onto you're car with him still clinging to it" Kevin said getting pissed all over again.

"My car?!?! That was a gift from my grandfather before he died! He got squashed by a tree and Nick?!" Maria asked. "I think Nick did more damage than the tree did" Kevin replied. "I'm gonna kill him! My blonde idiot husband! When will he grow the fuck up?" Maria asked getting pissed. "He said he didn't want the police to call you because you would get upset" Katie said. "Does he think I'm not gonna notice that a tree squashed my car? Does he think I'm blonde like him" Maria asked.

"Well since I"m with no car, can you drive me to the hospital. If he's on life support I'm pulling the plug" Maria said looking at Katie and Kevin. "Kevin, I really don't think Nick is on life support so don't get your hopes up" Katie said "Damn" Kevin mumbled. "Kev, I'm really sorry for what Nick did. I didn't even know he was going over there. He told me he was going to the mall to buy Christmas presents" Maria said. "It's not you're fault. Don't worry about it. It's Nick's" Kevin said.

At the hospital ~~~~~~ "Mrs. Carter, once your husband is released I would suggest never letting him out of the house again or seeking professional help" The doctor said. "You want me to send Nick to a shrink?" Maria asked. The doctor nodded. "No psychiatrist will be able to figure out why he does what he does" Maria replied. "You can try. You're husband has a sprained ankle and a sprained wrist. He has a concussion and some cuts and bruises. From what the police told me, he set someone's house on fire. You might have to worry about them presses charges" The doctor said.

"They are friends of ours. Kevin might wanna press charges. Maybe he should do that, teach Nick a lesson. He won't, his fiancee won't let him" Maria replied. "Well you're husband will be here for a few days. You can visit him. Then you should go home and rest because being here won't be good for your baby" The doctor said. Maria was almost 6 months pregnant.

"Mrs. Carter, Nick is fine, he can go home today but I thought it would be a good idea to keep him here so he can't cause any more trouble. I've known Nick since he was 10. Ever since he came in here because somehow he super glued his butt to a chair. His bare butt" The doctor said. "How did he....wait I don't even wanna know" Maria replied.

"What did the doctor say" Kevin asked as Maria walked into the waiting room. "He wants me to send Nick to shrink" Maria said sitting down in a chair. "The poor doctor will kill himself if he gets Nick as patient' Katie said. "I'm going to get something to eat, anybody want anything" Katie asked. "Soda" both Kevin and Maria replied. "Ok" Katie said and walked out of the room.

The room was silent until Maria started crying. "What's wrong?" Kevin asked. "Why is Nick like this? Why did I marry an idiot?" Maria cried. Kevin hugged her. "Why is Nick so blonde? He's going to be a father in almost 3 months. He can't do this to the kid" Maria asked. "I don't know. Nick's just Nick. He might change if you tell him how you feel" Kevin replied.

Twenty minutes later Nick was allowed to have visitors. "Maria! What are you doing here?" Nick asked. "You're in deep shit" Maria replied. "Kevin, Katie I'm sorry about your house" Nick said as he saw Katie and Kevin walk into the room. "I'm not talking to you, unitl you give me a good reason why on earth you would do that" Kevin said. "Nick really start growing up. You're gonna be a father in 3 months" Katie added. "So" Nick replied.

"Nick that means you're gonna be a father to a little baby boy or a little baby girl. You're gonna change the diapers, take care of it. Teach him or her the difference between right and wrong and all the other things you learned from your parents. You're gonna be in charge of another human being" Kevin said.

"Isn't that against the law? To let me, Nick Carter, be in charge of another person?" Nick asked. "It should be" Kevin replied. "Mia, baby. I'm sorry about your car. I'm sorry that you have to put up with me. It shows that you love me. I love you, Maria" Nick said.

Katie, Kevin and Maria left the hospital an hour later. "Since Nick is in the hospital for a few days. Your welcome to stay at my house" Maria said. "You need you're rest and we don't wanna bother you" Kevin said. "I wouldn't mind. Being in the big house does get lonely. Without Nick there, it will be a rest" Maria replied. "Katie, how come you don't seem upset" Kevin asked. "I'm upset. I'm angry, but instead of wasting my energy on yelling and screaming I'm saving it up for later" Katie replied. "And there is one good thing about this" Katie added. "What's that?" Maria asked. "Now, I have an excuse to buy all new clothes" Katie replied.

A couple of hours later ~~~~~ Katie and Maria were in the kitchen talking, when they heard a crash. "What did Nick......wait Nick's not here, oops" Maria said. "What did Kevin do" Katie asked and got up and walked to where the noise came from. "Whatever he did, he can't be as bad as what Nick has done. This poor house" Maria said.

Katie and Maria went outside and saw a hole in the deck that surrounded the pool. They walked to the edge and looked down to see Kevin sitting down. "What happened?" Katie asked. "One minute I'm walking around the deck, next thing I know, I'm down here. I landed on my back " Kevin said.

"The deck needed some repairs. Nick said he was gonna do them himself. I said no, you're gonna call someone. He told me that he wanted to save money. So he went out and bought the wood and the nails and all that crap. We could have hired 5 guys to fix the deck and it still would have cost less than Nick's medical bills just for that day" Maria said. "Why did you let Nick have a hammer and nails" Kevin asked. "I hid them. When I was at work he found them and made a bigger mess" Maria replied. "How are we gonna get you out of there" Katie asked. "If you have a ladder I can climb out" Kevin said. "There's one in the garage" Maria told Katie. "And be careful that nothing falls on you" Maria added.

A few minutes later Katie came back with a ladder. "Did anything fall on you?" Maria asked. "No thank god" Katie replied put the ladder down the hole for Kevin to climb out. "I don't care what Nick says. Tomorrow morning I'm calling the guy to come fix this" Maria said and walked into the house. "Are you alright?" Katie asked once Kevin was standing next to her.

"My back hurts" Kevin complained. Katie walked behind him and lifted up his shirt a little bit. On his back was a big bruise starting to show. "I'm gonna go get you an ice pack" Katie said and walked into the house with Kevin following her. "Go upstairs to the guest room and lie down, I'll bring up the ice pack" Katie said to Kevin, who nodded and went upstairs.

"Maria, do you have any ice packs" Katie asked. Maria looked at her. "Ok that was a stupid question" Katie replied and walked over to the freezer and opened the door and grabbed an ice pack. "Is Kevin alright?" Maria asked. "He's got this nasty bruise on his back" Katie replied. "Ow. The one good thing about Nick causing all this accidents is that I've learned a lot of first aid. I'm even a certified paramedic" Maria replied. "Instead of studying to become a lawyer, you should have studied to be a doctor that specializes in emergency medicine" Katie replied. "True" Maria replied.

Katie went upstairs and walked into the guest room. Kevin was lying on his stomach, on the bed. Katie walked over to him and placed the ice pack on his back. Then sat on the bed next to him. "Are you ok?" Katie asked. "I'll be alright. It's just a bruise. It will go away" Kevin replied. "You did fall at least 5 feet down. You didn't hurt anything else did you?" Katie asked. Kevin shook his head no. "Just get some rest" Katie replied and gave him a kiss. "Stay here" Kevin said. "Ok" Katie laid down next to him and Kevin put his arm around her.
