"So does that sound like a good idea?" Nick asked.

He was sitting in the living room of Katie and Kevin's new house. He just explained what he wanted to do for Maria's birthday.

"Yeah it does. It's sweet. Especially what you got her for her birthday" Katie said.

"You think so?" Nick asked.

"I wrote it all by myself. No help from anybody" Nick added proudly.

"Yeah it's nice and sweet and it won't be able to blow up. Wait....you can blow up anything. I take that part back. But it's nice and sweet. Maria will love it" Katie said.

"So you'll go along with the plan?" Nick asked.

"Yes Nick. For the hundredth time. We'll go along with it" Kevin said.

"Ok Thanks guys. Ya know one day I'm gonna make up for all of the things I've done to the both of you" Nick said.

"Just don't ruin anything of ours and we'll be happy" Katie said.

"No, I promise to make it up to you. I'm lucky that you two haven't put me in jail or a mental hospital or something cause of that I know that you really are my friends cause if you weren't, I'd be in jail or something" Nick said and left.

"How long will you be gone for?" Maria asked.

"Only for about a week. I really need to help Aaron with his CD. My mom and the record executives aren't getting along cause of that Aaron can't record. So I'm gonna take Aaron to Hawaii and I'll produce his CD, while my mom and the record company are fighting. It'll save time" Nick explained as he threw clothes into his suitcases.

"You'll be back for my birthday?" Maria asked.

Her 22nd birthday was in a five days. Nick just smiled, on of his famous smiles, at her.

"You're gonna have a big surprise. That's all I'm saying" Nick said then looked at his watch.

"I still have 5 hours before I have to leave for the airport. What am I gonna do?" Nick asked.

"I know what both of us are gonna do" Maria said and closed the bedroom door and locked it.

Then she walked over to Nick and pushed him down so he was lying on the bed. She climbed on top of him and they started kissing. Nick put his hands on her back and ran them up under her shirt and rolled them over, so he was on top. They spent the five hours in bed doing stuff that even AJ wouldn't wanna know about.

Maria had just put five month old David down in his crib for a nap. While he was taking his nap, she planned on spending an hour or two relaxing. But that wasn't gonna happen until much later. She had just walked into the kitchen to get herself some lunch when the phone rang.

"Hello?" She asked picking up the phone.

"Maria, it's Kevin. A hospital in Hawaii just called me. They said that Nick has been in an accident" Kevin said.

"An accident? What kind of accident" Maria asked, not at all surprised.

"He got himself stuck to a basketball hoop. He was hanging by his shirt for about an hour until Aaron realized what happened and called 911" Kevin replied.

"Only Nick would and could do something like that. How do you hang from a basketball hoop?" Maria asked.

"If there is a way do to it, Nick would figure it out and he did. I don't know how he got there. You'll have to ask him" Kevin replied.

"Only my husband. Only him. Why did they call you? Shouldn't they have called me? I'm his wife" Maria said.

"Well Nick has gotten into accidents over there before and they called me all those times" Kevin said.

"They said they are gonna send him back to the house he rented. You should fly out there and take care of him" Kevin added.

"Ok. He rented a house? What's the address? Who's gonna watch David" Maria asked.

"Yeah he rented a house. I'll come over and drive you to the airport and Katie and I can watch David" Kevin said.

"Ok I'll see you in about an hour" Maria said.

"Bye" She added.

"Bye"

Maria opened the door to the house that Nick had rented. She walked in and saw a note sitting on a table. She picked it up and read it:

Maria went upstairs and walked down the end of the hall to the door that was opened and walked in and looked around. The entire room was light by candlelight and sitting on the water bed, wearing only an evil smirk was Nick, only an smirk that's it.

"Happy Birthday Baby!" Nick said.

"You weren't in an accident?" Maria asked.

"Nope not this time. I planned this trip for about two weeks now. I wanted to do something very special for you for your birthday and I planned this trip to Hawaii for us. I'll tell you everything else later. But right now it's your birthday and I have to give you your birthday gift" Nick explained and walked up over to her and kissed her.

Nick pulled away and looked at himself then his wife.

"You are wearing way too many clothes!" Nick said.

"Well then you are going to have to do something about that" Maria replied and walked over to the bed and sat down.

"Fine by me!" Nick smirked and walked over to her and pushed her down and kissed her.

He then took of all of her clothes and gave her a birthday gift that lasted a very long time and this is one gift that she would never ever forget.

Over the next few months, the guys worked on their new CD. They wrote and produced every song on the CD. The new Backstreet Boys CD would be released, October 3rd 2002. That was also Kevin's 30th birthday.

A few days before the release of the CD, the guys did another 100 hour flight around the world. This time stopping in different places, except they landed in New York, just like last time. New York City, October 3rd

"Did you see the crowds out there?" Nick asked walking into the dressing room at MTV's studios.

"Not yet why?" Brian asked.

"There thousands and thousands of people here. They are all in the streets. The police had to shut down Times Square and direct traffic away from here. They police have said that there has to be at least 7,000 people out there" Nick exclaimed.

"Holy shit! That's a lot of people" AJ replied.

"I know and they are here just for us!" Nick replied, jumping up and down.

The guys were in the studio looking at the crowd that was still there.

"Nick look! Even though your married read those signs" AJ said.

Nick looked at the crowd, seeing signs

"Nick! I wanna have you baby!"

"Nick show me the your Dick" and other signs like that.

"What can I say? People love me. I'm just so cute and lovable and sexy and...." Nick trailed off.

"We have off for over a year and the kid gets a huge ego. I'm guessing Maria makes comments about him and that makes Nick's ego huge" Brian said laughing.

"That's not the only huge thing I get when I'm around her" Nick replied grinning.

"Look AJ There's a sign for you!" Nick said pointing to the sign that read "AJ, can you practice your floor routine on me?"

"Yeah but I'm not reading for dating again" AJ said.

"What?" Everyone asked.

"I know, I know, this is a shock but I really loved my wife. I still do and I don't wanna start dating again. I'm busy enough with my son and the BSB" AJ explained.

"Then why did you pull all the crap with Katie" Nick asked.

"I loved my wife, Nick but I was in love with Katie. There was nothing wrong with it. We were not related and we knew each other forever. Anyways I know I can't have her and I'm gonna apologize to her when I see her tonight. Kevin, I've been an asshole. I'm sorry for all the crap I did to you and Katie" AJ explained.

All five of them stayed there reading the signs that their fans were holding up for them. TRL had ended over an hour ago and they were still there. Once the fans left, so did the guys. They had to go to the party for their album release but one of the guys felt that he doesn't belong there anymore.

The guys went to their album release party. A lot of people were there, including the guy's significant others. AJ apologized to Katie for all of the shit he did. The party went on well into the night and everyone went back to their hotel rooms around 1 in the morning.

The next day they left to go back to Florida to promote their CD even more.

A week later, the billboard charts came out and the Backstreet Boys's new CD The Fantasy Life broke all of the records.

It sold over 3 million copies in the first week, in just the United States alone. Over 1.5 million were sold in the first day. If you were to add the 3 million copies plus the amount sold from around the rest of the world, it equaled well over 8 million. Setting a new international record.

The Backstreet Boys tour was gonna start in January, because Katie was going have the baby in early December and Kevin wanted to be there and plus it gave them more time to perfect their dance moves and the stage design and all of those things.

On December 10th 2002, Katie gave birth to a little girl. Everyone came to see her and Kevin and the new born baby. Kevin's mom flew down to Florida to help with the baby for a while, especially since Kevin was leaving in over a month.

Katie and their daughter were released two days later.

That night when Katie and Kevin put her in her crib, for her first night at home, they realized that they finally had the family that they had always wanted. It took them years to get to this point and they had been through thick and thin and have been to hell and back but they finally had their family and they were finally happy.

Katie would not go back to recording and touring for at least a few years, Kevin and the rest of the guys were still very famous and very popular that they had to do a tour and NSYNC wouldn't bother them ever again.

Life didn't get much better than that. Life was good.
