Over the next week~~~~Katie went back to Nick's house. He had the girl Katie caught him with there. Nick introduced her to Katie as his girlfriend. Katie packed up her things. She and Nick talked and Katie handed, no threw her engagment ring at Nick. Then she left the house wwhere she'd live ever since the summer of ‘98, for good. She moved into a dorm to finsish the last month and a half of college. She told AJ and Kevin what happened since Kevin was over at AJ's house when Katie went to tell AJ. AJ then told Brian who told Howie. All of them were not happy with Nick.

June 2000, Orlando~~~~"Guys I know you don't like what I did to Katie but please stop looking at me like that" Nick said. The guys were in the studio recording for their new album due out in the fall. "You really hurt her Nick, she showed up on more doorstep crying her eyes on, on her birthday no less, and told me that she found you in bed with another woman" AJ yelled. "and you 2 were engaged for crying out loud, I do think both of you are 2 young to get married, but I would have supported you 2 if you did tell us. You were her finacee Nick, you were supposed to love her, not cheat on her" Kevin yelled. "I told her I was sorry" Nick yelled back. "But that couldn't make the pain in her heart go away Nick" Brian said. "I'll talk to her, maybe we can be friends any one know where she lives or what her phone number is" Nick asked. The guys just stood there not saying anything. "I'll give you her number Nick, but not her address, she really doen't want to see" Kevin said. "anything else I should know" Nick asked. "yes, but she made me promise not to tell, so I'm not, if she want's to tell you she will" Kevin said calmly. Nick walked out of the room looking very confused.

Two days later~~~"hello" Katie asked answering the phone. "Katie it's Nick please don't hang up" Nick said. "I just want to talk to you" he added. "Go ahead talk" Katie replied. "ok Katie, im sorry that I cheated on you and that caused the end of our long relationship. Im sorry that you had to catch us on your birthday. Katie, I loved you, but I love Maria so much more" Nick admitted. "And you just had to tell me this" she said angrily. "I want us to be friends Katie, I really want to try to be and ha at least I pick up girls from the same state, your both from New Jersey" Nick said trying to make a joke. "Your not funny Nickolas, right now I don't think I could be friends with you....maybe sometime in the future, but im leaving florida soon, I know where im going but I'm not going to tell you where" Katie said. "and Kevin said that he knew something but couldn't tell me, and that you might tell me if you fell like it" Nick asked. "should I tell him," Katie thought. "no Nick ... I'm not ready too bye" Katie said and hung up the phone, then ran to her room and cried.
