A few days later~~~"Kev, I need a vacation" Katie said. "Ok where do you want to go, and when do you want to leave" Kevin said. "No, a vacation by myself, I need to think about some things" Katie replied. "Ok, for how long though" "a weekend that's it" Katie replied. "Are you alright?" Kevin asked. "I'm fine, I just need a break. I have it all planned out, I leave tonight at 8 and Nick's gonna come by at 7 and take Hayley for the weekend, so your free to do whatever" Katie explained.
24 hours later~~~Katie was sitting in her hotel room, that was on the beach. She was thinking about what the old lady who works there said. "If you really want to find out who truly loves you, test their love. Whoever is willing to give up everything they have just to be with you is the one" Katie thought that was a pretty good idea, since on her own she couldn't decide. All she had to do was come up with a scheme that would test Nick's love for her & Kevin's love for her. As she was walking inside from the balcony, an idea suddenly came to her. She grinned to herself, as she picked up the phone to call a couple of her old friends and her younger brother. Neither Nick or Kevin had met these people, so it was going to be perfect.
Two days later~~~"Hi Nick come in" Kevin said and let Nick and Hayley in. "Is Katie back" Nick asked. "No nothing, she hasn't called me at all" Kevin replied. "That doesn't sound like her" Nick replied becoming worried. By now Hayley went upstairs to play with her toys. The phone rang and Kevin answered it. Nick was about to leave, but Kevin motioned him to stay. Kevin put the phone on speaker phone. "If you want to see your precious Katie ever again, you will have to start thinking of stuff to give to me" Nick and Kevin looked at each other. "You have 48 hours to get to NJ and to the beach house where she spent her summers" the voice stopped. Nick and Kevin looked at each other. Kevin ran upstairs to get something packed for himself and Hayley while Nick made the flight arrangements.
In New Jersey~~~"hopefully, this is going to work" Katie replied to her brother and a couple of her friends. Her brother had made that phone call. "I don't understand, you have 2 hot guys who love you and your complaining. If I was you, I wouldn't be" Laura said laughing. Katie gave her a look. "Sorry" Laura said. "Your really good at this mothering stuff" She mumbled."Yeah well you will be too once you have kids" Katie replied. "Katie, do you really think that this is going to work" Her brother asked. "Yeah I do, if I doesn't then I'm screwed" Katie replied unconsciously putting a hand on her lower stomach and gently rubbing it. Her friends thought that she was just hungry, but that wasn't the problem. She was pregnant, she knew that she was. She also knew who the father was, she was just hoping that he was going to be "the one"
48 hours later~~~Nick, and Kevin were standing outside a beach house in New Jersey. They had Brian take care of her, since they didn't want to bring her along. A guy around 19 came out. This was Katie's brother and hidden on him was a microphone, so that Katie could hear what was going on. "So you two are the ones that Katie loves" he said laughing. "Where is she" Nick asked. "Is she ok? You better not have hurt her" Kevin added. "One of you will see for yourselves, once you tell me what you plan on giving me" He replied laughing. "1 million dollars" Nick said. "2 million" Kevin said. The guy stood there and crossed his arms over his chest. Nick and Kevin kept telling him things, they would willingly give up. About halfway through, both of them knew that they were in it each for themselves. "Not good enough" the guy replied shaking his head. "I will quit the BSB, give you everything I have and own, just please let her go??" Came out of the mouths of Nick and Kevin at the same time.
"Damn" Katie said and fell back onto the bed. She was listening to the conversation between Nick, Kevin and her brother Matt. Katie got up and walked outside. She had a pissed off look on her face. Both Nick and Kevin ran over to her and started hugging her and asking if she was ok. "I'm fine, really I'm fine. I can see you have met my brother. Matt, this is Nick and Kevin. Kevin, Nick this is my brother Matt. Everything was just a joke. I was trying to see who really truly loved me" Katie explained. Both Nick and Kevin felt stupid. "I need some time alone to figure things out" Katie said and went back into the house. "Don't look at me. I have nothing to do with this anymore" Matt said and left. Kevin and Nick went into the house and found Katie in her old bedroom. The 3 had a long talk. Katie confessed sleeping with Nick several time s a few weeks ago. Kevin was upset and angry but didn't do anything to either her or Nick. She gave her engagement ring back to Kevin and said that yes, she did love him but didn't want to wear it until she knew who she was going to end up with. They talked and both Nick and Kevin agreed that Katie need to figure things out for herself.
That night around 2 AM~~~Katie stood outside the door to the guestroom where Nick was staying. She knocked on it twice. "Nick, are you awake?" she asked. No answer. "Nick can I come in? I need to tell you something." Katie said a little louder. No answer. She tried the doorknob and found it unlocked. Think, he was probably sleeping or engrossed in some Nintendo game, she opened the door. Nick was in there, and wide awake, but he wasn't playing Nintendo. There on the bed, was Nick and her best friend ever since 1st grade, in the middle of having sex. Nick didn't even know that she was standing there, and continued doing what he was doing. Trying not to cry, Katie closed the door and walked back to her room. She got back into her bed and started to cry. A few minutes later, there was a knock on her door. "Go away' she said. The person knocked again. Katie got up and went to the door. "Nick leave me, oh Kev, come in" Katie said and let Kevin in. Katie walked back over to the bed. Kevin saw that she had been crying. "Katie what's wrong" Kevin asked, gently while sitting down on the bed next to her. "Nothing" Katie lied. "Katie" "I went to tell Nick something, but I walked in on him and my best friend having sex" Katie said and started crying. Kevin pulled her into a hug. After a few minutes she stopped crying and they laid down on the bed together, with Katie's head resting on Kevin's chest. "What were you going to tell him?" Kevin asked. "That I'm pregnant and I'm pretty sure it's his" Katie replied. "But there is also a pretty good chance it's yours" Katie added sitting up a little and looked at him. Slowly, they moved closer together and kissed. Kevin rolled over, so he was on top and kissed her passionately. "Katie, let's go get married. We can leave in a few minutes for Las Vegas, and be married my noon and spend two weeks in Hawaii" Kevin said. Katie looked at him. "Come on whadda say" Kevin asked kissing her again.
