Chapter 3

I broke away from Kev's grip and picked up the phone.
"Hello?"
"Caryn?" the voice asked.
"Yeah," I said.
"Hi, it's Leighanne. I haven't talked to you in forever," she said.
"Hey! How have you been?" I asked.
"Doing fine, is my husband around?" she asked.
"Sure," I said. "Brian!!"
"Yeah?" came the response.
"It's your wife!"
"Thanks," I heard him pick up and I put the phone back on the charger.
"Nice girl," I said.
"Yeah," Kev agreed. "So where were we?"
"Here, I believe," I said, letting him hold me again.
"Oh, yes, now I remember," he smiled down at me. His green eyes sparkled at me. He leaned down and kissed me. It was electrifying. I was in heaven. Kevin was the best kisser I had ever encountered, and I had kissed a lot of boys. Of course, Kev wasn't a boy; he was a man. He was nine years my senior, after all. My hands went up into his dark hair.
"Hey guys, you better separate yourselves if you wanna make it to the movie on time," Howie said.
"Okay," I whispered. Howie just laughed and walked back downstairs.
"I guess we better get ready," I said.
"Yeah," Kev said, reentering reality. I went back to my room to look for my favorite hat and my sandals.
"Ready yet?" Kev asked, sticking his head in my room.
"Almost," I said, pulling on my other sandal.
"You look nice," he said. I smiled.
"Thanks, you're so sweet."
"It's nothing, easy around you," he said, gently kissing me again.
"Let's go, we don't want to be late," I said.
"Of course," he said. He took my hand and we walked downstairs. I knew Nick, Howie, and Brian were peering at us from the kitchen. AJ was nowhere in sight.
"They seem to find this amusing," I said. He laughed. "Apparently so." We laughed and walked out to his Ferrarri. He drove us to the theater and got in line to get our tickets. Once we'd gone in and gotten our popcorn and drinks, we found seats. Then I heard someone say,
"Caryn?" I looked up and saw my friend Elissa from school.
"Hey, what are you doing here?" I asked.
"Same thing as you are, Spring Breaking," she answered. "Who's your friend?"
"Kevin," he said extending his hand.
"Elissa," she smiled, shaking his hand. They began to talk and I….
