Brian was nervous. Beth had already yelled at him that morning, told him he
was crazy but Brian didn't listen. He neded to help Michelle. Michelle seemed
like a great girl. She was troubled, putting up with abuse for the past 6
years hadn't done a great deal of help for her. Brian didn't know who she was
but had a gut feeling they would be close. He knew it. He felt it in his soul
the moment she had spoken out to him. Brian was now waiting at a Kentucky
McDonald's for Michelle to show up. It was a crazy plan but Brian would do
it. He didn't care what anyone thought.A girl quickly walked through the
doors and Brian knew it was Michelle but had no idea she would be as
beautiful as she was. She had golden blonde hair and amazing crystal green
eyes. She stood a meer 5'4 but at Brian being 5'8 it didn't matter.
"Michelle?" Brian asked stepping toward her. She nodded and stared at Brian.
"Where have I seen you before?" Michelle asked.
"I'm in a musical group. The
Backstreet Boys," he told her.
Michelle stared at him wide eyed. This was
Brian Littrell.
"Let's worry about details later. We gotta act fast," Brian
told her. Michelle knew he was right. Daniel had stagered back home around
4:00 am. He would be waking up soon and wonder where she was. Brain took
Michelle's hand then they went to the police station and did something that
should have been done a long time ago. They got Daniel some time behind bars.
Michelle never watched Daniel go. She didn't see how Daniel was dragged from
the voilent home he once shared with Michelle and was locked up for all the
things he had done. All she and Brian had done was report him. Reported him
how he was a violent alcoholic. How he beat Michelle. How he stole from
people. How he sold drugs to minors. Now Michelle could put that behind her
because she was on a plane to Orlando with Brian. The two of them were going
to stay with one of Brian's close friends that went by the name of Nick
Carter. Then in Orlando Michelle would change her last name so she couldn't
be found by Daniel. Michelle thought of the good times ahead of her. All the
freedom she could now have. She couldn't wait to get a second kick start on
life and all it had taken was a little belief. In the seat next to her Brian
gave her a smile and squeezed her hand. Michelle smiled back. Something she
thought she had forgotten how to do long ago. Maybe it was a little belief,
she thought. But it was also a little hope and encouragement from Brian
Littrell.
