Chapter 3

"Can it wait?" I called through the door. I heard him sigh.
"Sure, I'll wait."
"Thank you," I said, and finished my luxurious shower. It was nice to be in Orlando with Howie and the Boys' Club. I hadn't seen Howie in a long time, and I enjoyed Florida's great weather, considering I was going to college in Virginia, which still wasn't particularly warm this time of year. I hopped out of the shower and pulled on my robe to go talk to AJ.
"You rang?" I said, coming out of the bathroom.
"Yeah," he said.
"You must have wanted something," I said. He didn't answer. Instead he leaned over and kissed me. Excitement shot through my body like an electric shock. I hadn't expected this. He pulled away and looked at me.
"That's what I wanted," he said.
"Whoa," I said. "I thought you weren't supposed to kiss until after the date was over."
"What can I say? I'm a wild guy," he grinned.
"So I guessed," I laughed.
"Will you be ready to go soon?" he asked.
"Uh, sure, what do I need to wear?" He shrugged.
"Whatever, it's not too dressy," he said.
"Okay," I said. "I'll get changed and we can go." He nodded. I went back into my room and pulled out my luggage.
"What to wear," I said to myself. After throwing my clothes everywhere I finally decided on my khaki shorts and a blue tank top. I threw my hair up in a ponytail and grabbed my Sketchers. AJ laughed when he saw me trying to pull myself together.
"We're not in that big of a hurry," he said.
"I know, but I'm always like this. The college mindset," I said.
"Really?" he said.
"Yeah, always rushing to do something, never ends," I grinned.
"I see," he said. "So are you together now?" I grinned and stood up.
"How's this?" He looked at me.
"Looks good to me," he said. "Very good." I giggled.
"Thank you," I said. "Were you this nice to your other dates?"
"What can I say? I'm just a charmer," he said. I sensed it was a topic he wasn't willing to discuss. Howie had told me that AJ had broken up with his most recent girlfriend, or rather she had dumped him. I figured I should stay away from that subject.
"So where exactly are we eating?" I asked. "Do you like pizza?" he asked. "Well duh," I laughed. "There's this lil pizza place by the park and they have the most sinful pizza in the world," he said. "Ah so you know it well," I grinned.
"Hey, I'm a good boy," he said.
"Ruuuught," I said. He laughed.
"Okay ya got me."
"Of course I do," I grinned. I…..
