Part 60:

AJ walked into Lou's office, "AJ my boy have a seat. Can I get you
anything?"

Ah yeah you in jail for a rather nice long sentence, he thought to
himself. "No I'm fine really. Had breakfast at the hotel before I came
over."

Lou shook his head, "Shame about you staying at that hotel."

"Its a nice place Lou."

"Yeah but you should be at home on your off time, with that lovely wife of
yours."

AJ's eyes clouded over, "Estranged wife."

"You too??" Lou shook his head, "Is there something in the drinking water
lately?"

"Could be, could be. So are we ready to sign the contract?"

"As soon as its delivered."


Jenn pounded on the hotel room door for five minutes but didn't get an
answer. "AJ!! Alexander James McLean if your in there open this door right
now!!"

"I'm sorry ma'am the man in that room left about twenty minutes ago." the
maid said, pushing her cart past Jenn.

"He did?? Did he leave with anyone?"

"No he was alone."

"Did say where he was headed?"

"No sorry."

Jenn sighed, running a hand through her hair. "Thank you." she headed
towards the elevator. "Where the hell are you J?"


David listened to the tape and pushed his chair back, "Lou is really out
of his mind."

"Told you." Brian said turning the tape off. 

"What can we do?" Kevin asked.

"Well that there is enough to prove he's trying to force you back under
his management. If only you'd managed to get him to talk about the
envelopes we'd have him on blackmail."

"So basically its worthless."

"Not exactly, if say those pictures of Nick and Alannah were leaked we
could go after him for leaking them."


Jenn drove by TransCon, a sick feeling filling her as she spotted AJ's
Explorer parked in the visitor's lot. She parked as close as she could,
"You stupid, dumb, son of a bitch." she muttered as she looked inside the
Explorer and found it empty. She reached into her bag for her cell as she
went inside the building, going straight to Lou's office.


AJ was sliding the contract across the desk to Lou as the door swung open
and Jenn stormed in, Lou's secretary on her heels. "I'm sorry Lou she just
pushed by me..."

"Its all right Tammy." he smiled, "Jenn lovely to see you again."

"What the hell are you doing here AJ?"

AJ smiled at her weakly, he knew the wrath of Jenn was coming. "I'm
signing a contract."

"Sign it and consider yourself signing away our marriage."

Lou looked down at the contract, "I'm sorry Jenn he just signed it."

She stood there in shock for a minute, "Well then you know what, you two
scum deserve each other!!" and with that she turned and walked out of the
room.

"Women," AJ muttered, suppressing the urge to run after her. He'd have to
explain everything later. He looked at Lou, "Sorry about that, I guess
she's still on their side."


Ty watched as Jenn stormed through the house, "What's wrong??" Ty asked,
following her outside.

"Where the hell is Kevin??" Jenn asked, barely looking at her friend.
"AJ's flipped out...he SIGNED with Lou."

"Jenn its an act..."

"Ty do not lie and try to make me feel better!!!"

"Jenn McLean I haven't lied to you once and I'm not about to. AJ's setting
Lou up, I only told you what I could yesterday...Howie met with AJ and
talked about business, he was staying at the hotel...him and Lis were
hanging out...there's only a few people he told about this, Howie, David
and Lis...he didn't want to tell you or the others because he was afraid
the cover would be blown somehow."

Jenn sunk against the railing, "Oh shit..."

"What did you do?"

Jenn smiled meekly, "I stormed into Lou's office and confronted him, told
him if he signed the contract consider the marriage over and when Lou said
he just signed I told him they deserved each other."

"Ouch."

"Yeah..."

"But that could only help AJ right now..." Ty said trying to reassure her
friend. "Lou will believe that everything's falling apart for AJ...that he
can trust him because he isn't affiliated with any of us..."

Jenn took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down. "Maybe..." she 
closed her eyes and leaned back against the railing. "I think I want to be
alone for awhile."

"Okay...if you need me..."

"I'll find you. Thanks."
