Lost in deep thought, Nick paced the bedroom mumbling softly to himself as he went over the day's events and what could possibly happen the next afternoon.

Feeling his wife's arms wrap around him he slowed down. "What?" he asked, a smile creeping on his face. Truth be told he welcomed the distraction.

"You're wearing a hole in my carpet."

He laughed, "I'll buy you a new one after the meeting tomorrow."

She waited till he turned around. "Nick..."

"What? They could accuse me of killing Lou Lis..." he bit his lip. "I was probably the last one there to see him alive..."

"How do you know that? It wasn't like the building locked up right after you left..."

He shook his head, "No but its not like it was the middle of the day and he had a bunch more people to see." he sat on the bed and pulled her to stand in front of him. "If something does happen I..." he stared into her eyes, "Lis you walk away okay?"

"What??"

"I put you through too much all ready..." he stated, his arms wrapping around her waist.

"Baby you're paranoid."

"I'm serious."

She wrapped her arms around his neck. "You're going to go crazy worrying...and then your going to make me crazy..."

"Me crazy?" he asked skeptically.

"Uh huh. That's what you are. But I love you anyway..."

"You do huh?"

"Yep."

Climbing into bed, Howie groaned as Ty rolled over away from him. "Okay," he said pulling the blankets over him. "Be that way."

"I'm not the one who went ballistic at the meeting over nothing."

"Nothing! Ty I heard that tape..."

"So you see..."

He fought back a small smile, he'd been so proud when he heard her stand up to Lou the way she had. "I see that you could of provoked him into doing something stupid. What if he'd gotten upset and pushed you or something?"

"That wouldn't of happened."

"Wouldn't it? Lou wasn't the most stable of men to start with..."

Kevin stood in front of the closet, laying out his clothes for the next day. Hearing his wife coming up behind him he turned his head to look at her. "Hey."

"Hi." she leaned against the door watching him. "You only preplan your clothing when your nervous."

"Its the FBI Alec..."

"Uh huh..."

He played with the tie in his hand. "That's serious."

"Almost as serious as you."

At that he cracked a small smile. "Funny..."

She walked over, putting her arms around him. "Is that a smile I see on Kevin Richardson's face? No it can't be."

He kissed her forehead. "Go ahead make fun of me I can take it."

"You can huh?"

Staring down into her eyes he nodded, "We made it through this I can take anything now."

Brian sipped his coffee as he sat outside perched on the railing of the deck.

"You even going to try and sleep tonight?" Shan questioned, walking out of the house in one of Brian's robes.

He smiled as he looked at her, "Too nervous..."

She took his hand and entwined their fingers together. "Okay then, guess it means we're staying up tonight."

"We?"

"Well I can't let you worry alone. Besides your walking around the house all night would keep me up."

"How come you know me so well?"

"I don't know." she gave him a small smile, "But I wouldn't change it for

anything."

"Me either." he admitted, pulling her close and resting his head against her shoulder.

AJ fell onto the bed beside Jenn who was laying there reading. "J!!"

"What?"

"What are you doing?"

He rolled onto his back, "Being me?"

Tossing her magazine aside she rolled one her side to look down at him. "You huh?"

"Mmmhmm..." he smiled, "Why so worried Jenn?"

"Because right now I can guarantee your brothers are freaking out and keeping their wives awake all night worrying with them and you're..."

"I'm...?"

"Acting goofy."

He lifted his arm motioning for her to move beside him. Once she was laying beside him with her head on his shoulder he spoke, "I just have a feeling that maybe...just maybe tomorrow might be the silver lining we were all looking for."

"And if it isn't?"

"Then you my girl are paranoid." he grinned, "Come on you of all people you should know when the great AJ McLean promises something, you can depend on it happening."

Jenn bit her lip to keep from laughing but even that didn't help as she cracked up, rolling away from him to try and stop. AJ shook his head in bewilderment as she kept laughing and rolled away, finally disappearing to the floor as a loud thud filled the room. Trying to hide his grin, he scooted over to the edge of the bed and looked down at her, "What's so funny Jenn-Jenn?"
