~A few hours later~
Suz slowly attempted to open her eyes, but heaviness still fell over them.
Cocking one eye halfway open, she could see that it was still nighttime as
the moon shone through the sheer lime green curtains. The stereo was still
on lowly playing jazz music. As she remembered what had happened a few hours
earlier, her mind realed with the wonderful reality that she was now living.
"Who woud have ever guessed?" she wondered, not realizing that she had spoken
out loud until Kevin answered, "Would have guessed what?"
With surprise, she looked down as his forehead still rested against her
chest. She could feel him softly kissing her smooth skin as it tingled with
each kiss. Suz reached her hand up running it through is luscious dark brown
hair. She gently began to massage his scalp.
"I would have never guessed that this," she said sweeping her hand to
indicate the two of them cuddled together, "would ever happen."
Kevin looked up at her as his green eyes twinkled in the darkness. He
reminded her of a black panther in the darkness.
"Don't take that the wrong way. I'm not talking about you being a Backstreet
Boy. I'm talking about you being a man wanting me. Being a Backstreet Boy
just happens to be part of the package. It isn't THE package," Suz said as
she caressed his face.
"Not that I had any doubts, but you don't know how much what you just said
means to me," Kevin replied as he gradually leaned down til his breath was
hitting her in the face.
Suz then realized they were still joined when she felt Kevin become aroused.
Gasping, she clutched his shoulders as he slowly began to move. Soon, they
were moving in unison desperate to reach their high. Within minutes, all
their energy was spent as their orgasms broke over them causing them to

Suz cradled Kevin in her arms as he pulled out and slumped against her.

~The Next Day~
Suzanne awoke to the sound of the shower running in her bathroom. She
watched, with a dreamy expression, as a very wet Kevin walked out of the
bathroom in a towel. Her gasp alerted Kevin that she was awake.
"How you feeling, baby?"
He waited a few seconds for her answer but then realized she wasn't listening
to him.
"Baby? How are you feeling?"
"Uh, wha? Did you say something?" Suz asked finally looking up from his wet
chest.
"Twice," he said as he laughed, "I asked you twice how you were feeling."
"Hot," was her immediate response.
She blushed like a beet as it dawned on her what her response had been.
"Oh man," she said as she buried her face in her hands, "I can't believe I
just said that."
"Why?"
"Why what?"
"Why shouldn't you said that?" Kevin asked.
"Because I feel like a...Uh, I don't know!" she said afraid to look at him.
"Honey?" he questioned as he approached her and took her into his arms.
She could feel the wetness from him slide across her own skin.
"No, you are a beautiful passionate, sexy woman who knows what she likes and
wants," Kevin replied kissing her face softly, "Do you hear me?"
Slowly Suz nodded as she cradled her head on his chest.
"Now, what do you want for breakfast?"
"You"
Suz's head bounced from the rumble of Kevin's laughter, "As much as I'd like
that, Suz, I think we need to give your body a rest. And it is almost noon
and I know everyone will be over soon."
Suz blushed, "I guess you're right."
"You take a shower, while I go see what there is to make for breakfast, or
lunch, at this point," Kevin said getting up to get dressed.
"Ok"
Suz watched as Kevin exited the room in search of his clothes. With a new
found energy, she went to jump up in excitement but slowed down her movements
considerably as she winced from slight pain. "Oh, god, he wasn't kidding
about giving my body a rest," she muttered as she slowly made her way to the
bathroom.
As she climbed out of the shower a few minutes later, she heard Kevin calling
out for her.
"Suz?" he said knocking at the bathroom door, "there is nothing to eat, so
I'm gonna go grocery shopping, ok? I'll be back in a bit. Can you wait?"
"I can manage to wait," she replied drying herself off carefully. She could
still feel some soreness in her body but welcomed the soreness knowing what
had exactly caused it.
She quickly exited the bathroom, watching behind the curtain as Kevin got
into his car with Brian and pulled out of her sight.
Chapter 45
10,000 Kisses
Suz pulled on a pair of pants and a shirt. Quickly she dried and curled her
hair, then finished by applying a light faintness of makeup. Walking
downstairs, she found her new puppy, Spunky, curled up asleep in the laundry
room where Kevin had put her. Picking her up, Suz climbed onto the couch
resting Spunky beside her. She soon become so enthralled into an old episode
of ER, rerunning on TNT, that she didn't realize that someone was knocking on
the door.
She jumped when she heard AJ's voice in her ear, "Suz...Suz..."
"Oh jesus fucking christ, AJ!" She said hitting him lightly on the arm.
AJ clutched his sides in laughter until he felt something lick his face.
Opening his eyes, he peered down at Spunky.
Suz watched as AJ picked up the puppy and started talking to him like a
little baby. No one could ever tell her that AJ wasn't total mush inside.
He had a heart so big that she wondered how his skinny body contained it all!
She felt a hand lift her face until her hazel eyes met AJ's brown eyes.
"So?"
"So what?" she replied trying to hide her grin.
"SUZ!!!" AJ said aspirated, "Don't make me drag it out of you."
"Oh, last night, is that what you are talking about?"
AJ rolled his eyes, "Duh!"
AJ was surprised when he saw her begin to cry, "Suz? He didn't hurt you, did
he? You could have told him to stop."
"AJ, it's not that. It was *sniff* so *sniff* beautiful," Suz said looking
up at him, "Listen to me. I'm so pathetic."
"Oh, Suz, no you're not!" AJ said hugging her, "So you enjoyed it?"
Pulling away, she looked at him, "Enjoyed it is an understatement."
AJ arched an eyebrow.
"In fact," she said, "I tried to entice him back to bed this morning but no
luck."
AJ rumbled with laughter, "Oh god, you didn't!"
"Yes, I did, but don't worry, I'll get him later," Suz answered, "But first,
I'll let my muscles rest."
AJ chuckled as he looked over in wonderment at the change in this woman
sitting next to him since he met her a couple of months ago.
By the time Kevin arrived home with Brian...Nick, Howie, and AJ were
entertaining Suz. She watched as Spunky playfully nipped at Nick's bare
feet, then proceeded to try, emphasis on the try, to run off with a chunk of
Howie's hair. But the kicker was when Spunky attempted, numerous times, to
'tear' off one of AJ's tattoos. They all watched in amazement as Spunky
manuveured his teeth every which way trying to pull it off. Just as he
prepared to sink his teeth into AJ's flesh, the door swung open revealing
Kevin and Brian struggling with some bags.
Kevin yelped in response as Spunky ran up greeting him by biting him lightly
on his ankle.
"Can I have some help here?" Kevin whined as he looked at Suz.
"Don't look at me. You wore me out. I can't move," she said but added under
her breath, "until tonight."
Nick giggled as he heard what Suz said and she smacked him in the head.
"Shh, be quiet!" she whispered embarrassed.
Kevin turned to stare at his three buddies.
Nick, Howie, and AJ looked at each other then turned back, "Nope!"
Suz pleaded with the guys with her eyes, 'please!'
Immediately, they jumped up sprinting out to the car.
Brian laughed as he watched his friends whip by him, "Man, you certainly have
them wrapped around your finger, don't you?"
"You're next, freakboy," she said pointing her finger at him as she slowly
stood up and followed him into the kitchen.
"Hey, I'm not a freakboy, that's AJ," Brian said as they disappeared into the
kitchen.

Chapter 46
~A week later~
~Mid-Sept~
"Kevin?" Suz said as she timidly sat down next to him sitting at his piano.
"Hmm?" he said gazing up at her. He continued to study the esquisiteness of
her face not hearing a word she said.
"So, will you?" he heard her say interrupting his thoughts.
It took Suz a moment to realize that he wasn't listening to her and was
staring at her intensely. She began to blush under his stare.
"Oh, honey, I'm sorry, what did you say?" Kevin said pulling her towards him
and wrapping his arms around her.
She sighed as the warmth from his body radiated onto hers then continued
again, "I have to go back to the gynecologist. It is very important. Would
you come with me if I call her to set up an appointment?"
"Baby, you know I'll come with you, but what is it that you need to go back
to her for? Your condition?"
Suz nodded her head then looked down. She was trying not to cry but it
wasn't working very well. She felt anger and sadness at the same time
because of what was happening to her body as a result of the condition.
The only thing she could blame Scott for was making her scared to go to a gyn
doctor but nothing else. He didn't cause the condition and she didn't cause
it. She wondered why she didn't give it much thought that she never
menstrauted when she was younger. In the beginning, it came every two months
or so but then dwindled down til it stop altogether. 'I didn't care before,'
Suz thought, 'I didn't have someone to love and who loves me...someone I can
have children with...that I WANT to have children with.' It didn't matter to
her much about her weight anymore. She had discovered the medical condition
had caused her weight gain over the years. But that was only part of the
condition....the other part was conceiving children. And, god, how much she
wanted that now.
Finally, she answered Kevin after it seemed like an eternity, "Yes, I want to
discuss it with her and find out what I can do about it. It is about time I
take control of things."
"Oh, baby, I hate to see you going through this. First Scott, and now this."
"If I beat what happened to me with Scott, I'll most certainly beat this,"
Suz said confidently.
Kevin looked at his beautiful girlfriend seeing the determination in her
eyes. Slowly, he picked her hand up interwining his fingers with hers, "I
love you, baby."
"I love you too, now, when are we going to move into our new house?" Suz
said.
"Anytime you want to...anytime," Kevin said kissing her lips then gradually
pushing his tongue inside. He could never seem to get enough of her.
"Any possiblity that could be today?" Nick said whining as he walked into the
family room.
"Nick, leave us alone," Kevin said, breaking their kiss, waving him away.
"I'll help you move!" Nick said eagerly, "please?".
"Kevin," Suz said pushing him away slightly, "we need to get things in order
so that we can move in."
"You're right," Kevin said grabbing a pad of paper.
"How come he always does what you tell him?" Nick said to Suz, "Uh,
nevermind, I don't think I want to know that answer!"
~Three Hours Later~
They now had everything sketched out on paper. Including drawings, courtesy
of Nick, and everything. The gang had headed over to the couple's new house,
slightly different then the others, to survey the rooms and land. It was
finally agreed what furniture was needed and what they had. Basically, Kevin
realized that they would need practically all new furniture. Suz was going
to send for a few things from home...or Kevin and her were going to take a
trip back home eventually.
"Geez, talk about a match made in heaven," Howie whispered to AJ, "I don't
think they've disagreed about one color or piece of furniture or anything."
"If you notice, I don't think either of them cares that much, they are too
much in love with each other to worry over petty stuff like that," AJ
commented.
"Hey, whatcha guys talking about?" Kevin said sneaking up them.
AJ and Howie didn't realize that Kevin was no longer talking to Suz and had
walked over to them.
"Uh, nothing," Howie said as his voice faltered.
"So, when you two getting hitched?" AJ said quickly.
"If it was up to me, yesterday," Kevin said then smiled and went to join Suz,
who was calling him from across the room.
"Whoa!" AJ said looking at Howie, "I didn't expect that answer!"
"Neither did I," Howie agreed.
"Neither did you what?" Nick and Brian said in unison as they approached AJ
and Howie.
"We just asked Kevin when him and Suz were going to get hitched and he said
yesterday, if it was up to him," Howie said.
"Oh," Nick said, "well, what's stopping him?"
"I think he wants to take it slowly with Suz," Brian said looking over at
them, "He knows that she is forever for him and I don't think he wants to
rush. He's afraid of scaring her away."
"How do you know all this?" Nick said looking at him.
"Uh, because he tells me?" Brian said smirking.
"Really?" AJ, Howie, and Nick replied.
"No, I can just see it in the way he acts and touches her and looks at her.
He's not afraid of her hurting him like Beth did. But more afraid that
because no one has ever cared about her so much, that it is going to
overwhelme her and she'll run," Brian concluded.
Suz's shout interrupted their conversation, "Ok, who wants dinner?"
A chorus of yes was heard around the room.
As they walked out of the house, Suz whispered to Kevin, "I made the
appointment for next week, on Monday, at 7pm. Is that ok?"
"Anything's ok for you," Kevin said hugging her to his side. Abruptly, he
stopped as everyone else had left the house. "We'll be right out," he yelled
to Val as he closed the front door.
"Baby, trust me, everything is going to be fine," Kevin said rubbing his
hands up and down her bare arms.
"Yeah, I know," she said sniffling, "But I never thought I'd want children
before until now."
"We'll do anything we have to, Suz, anything. You know that!" Kevin said,
"No matter what may happen, I'll never, EVER leave you! I love you too much."
Kevin took her hand and placed it over his heart wanting her to feel his
rapid heartbeat. "Ever," he repeated again.
Chapter 47

~Monday/6pm~
Suz paced the floor, with Spunky following her back and forth, as she waited
for Kevin to get home. She was standing on the back patio, of the guys'
house, looking at the swaying palm trees. Kevin had told her that the guys
had some recording to do for the new CD and would be home by 5:30pm. She
knew they were running overtime, most likely, but she didn't want to go
alone. She knew that if she needed someone to go, if Kevin wasn't home on
time, she could always ask Rachel, Chrissy, Tracy, or even Tina, her
psychiatrist had offered to go with her.
Suz smiled as she recalled her conversation with Tina. She had made another
appointment just to really tell her what had happened since the last time
they talked. Tina had commented to Suz that she was making tremendous
progress and that whatever happened from now on would only make her stronger.
"Baby, I'm sorry I'm late," Kevin said running into the house and to the
patio. He enveloped her in a hug hoping that she wasn't mad at him.
"Shut up and kiss me," Suz said then started laughing.
"Hey, I thought you wanted me to kiss you?" Kevin said wondering why in the
hell she was now laughing.
"I'm sorry," she said covering her mouth as she tried to control her giggles,
"I just starting thinking about that song by Mary Chapin Carpenter, 'Shut up
and Kiss me' and it just seemed so funny."
Then she started singing it:

As they stopped singing, Suz wrapped her arms around Kevin resting her head
on his chest, "Now you see what I never sing."
"What was 'that' all about?" Kevin said ruffling her hair.
"Uh, stress?" Suz said looking up at him.
"I see," he replied nodding.
"But I'm sure you don't sing when you are stressed considering you do it for
a career," Suz said giggling.
"No, I like to do strip teases by myself," Kevin said kiddingly waiting for
reaction.
"Well, baby, next time you're in the mood, invite me!" she said rubbing her
hand along his ass and squeezing, "But for right now, we have to go."
He could see her demeanor change instantly as she reminded him of the
doctor's appointment.
Rushing to get changed, Kevin was ready within minutes.
"Ready?" he said softly approaching Suz who was waiting for him in the
kitchen.
She replied by grabbing his outstretched hand.
~Two Hours Later~
As the couple stepped out of the doctor's office, they noticed the rumbling
black clouds above, knowing they were in store for another summer
thunderstorm.
Each were involved in their own thoughts processing what the doctor had told
them.
"So," Kevin started as they got into the car but couldn't continue because
Suz had started crying.
"Oh baby," he said pulling her into his arms and rubbing her back.
"I'm sorry," Suz sniffled against his shirt, "I've never really cried in my
life and in the last few months, I've cried enough for my whole lifetime."
"Don't be sorry, but we are going to get through this. We will have
children," Kevin said wrapping a piece of her long hair around his finger and
brushing it away from her face.
Suz leaned her face into the palm of his comforting hand.
"Just wait until those birth control pills kick in," Suz said giggling.
"Why?"
"Kevin! Uh, one word: hormones!"
"Oh shit," he said laughing, "But I gladly welcome any changes in you."
"Thank you"
"For what?"
"For understanding, for being willing to go with me, for the past few months"
"Well, thank you to you too, for loving me for who I really am, and why
wouldn't I have went with you?"
"I don't know. I thought, at first, that maybe because it is a 'woman's'
thing, you might not have wanted to go"
"I'll go to anything concerning you, baby, anything"
Suz smiled as she watched Kevin start the car and head home.
"Oh, Kev, we need to get the prescription filled," Suz said as she saw a
Eckerd ahead.
"Ok," he replied pulling into the parking lot then into an available spot.
*as opposed to crashing into a nonavailable spot with another car ROFL Sorry,
I thought it was funny!*
Soon, they were back in the car heading home.
"Damn, I'm hungry," Suz said suddenly.
"Do you want to go home, or go out?" Kevin asked realizing his stomach was
growling too.
"Hmm, how about we get some takeout and head over to our OWN house for some
quiet time even though there is no furniture?" she suggested.
"Hmm, sounds good," he said smiling at her as he pulled into their favorite
Chinese restaurant.
