Chapter 21

Katelyn still wasn’t talking to Christine, and Nick was avoiding her at all costs. All he needed was to fall for her again, which he knew he would do if they spent too much time together. It was getting closer and closer to the Madison concert date, September 1, and Christine didn’t know whether or not to send Katelyn her ticket. Finally, she decided to send it with a letter of apology.

Dear Kate, I know that you’re really mad at me, and with good reason, but will you at least hear me out? I wasn’t thinking straight, and I was trying to hurt Nick, not you. It wasn’t anything I had planned. It just happened. I know, that doesn’t make it right, but at least I realize that it was wrong and that I shouldn’t have done it. I’d do anything to take it back, but it’s too late. I’m really sorry. Please forgive me. It’s hell living without my best friend! Here’s your ticket and backstage pass if you still want to go to the show. Give me a call if you decide to forgive me. -Chris
