What do I need to do?
It's hard for me to open up,
scared of being told it's not enough.
A lifetime of misery stands in my way.
It has been many a day,
I find myself no longer able to trust,
for my heart has begun to rust,
for fear of pain.
Deep in my heart, I know you'll be there.
I let you in,
as hard as it was.
But what can I do,
to get through to you?
Do you know,
or is it all a show?
You know me better than most,
so you should know the truth.
