Will You Still Be There?
I sit here wondering why
I can never seem to look you in the eye.
My mind tells me one thing,
but my heart another.
I don't know how I feel,
can't seem to figure out the real deal.
Closer than any other,
you took the place of another.
By my side,
happily along for the ride.
But this can not last,
for I will not let it.
No one can come close,
For I do not want to get hurt.
No one can know,
who lives inside.
Can not have anyone by my side.
Perhaps one day I will be free,
but will you still be there waiting for me?
