"A Thousand Words"

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Sometimes a picture is worth much more than words, much more precious than silver or gold. All the years of heartbreak, the rumors, the distance that had settled between them over the years seemed to be all but washed away as they stood together once more before the crowd that had gathered to honor them. The image that had been chosen to portray them had been an afterthought at the end of yet another photo shoot, but it had unknowingly captured their essence.

They wished they could be that way again.
