"Want me to get you a drink or anything?" Leigh called up the stairs.
"No." he said.
Leigh sighed and walked up the stairs and saw Nick unpacking.
"So what'd you do on the trip?" Leigh asked.
Nick shrugged and turned to put some shirts away.
"Okay, well can you at least tell me why you didn't call me in 9 days, or why your acting like this?" Leigh said getting mad.
Nick didn't answer her, he just brushed by her to go put things away in the bathroom. A minute later, he heard the jingle of keys and the front door slam. Nick ran his fingers through his hair warily. He hated having to do this.
Leigh was so angry and hurt she didn't want to be near Nick. She drove a bit farther till she was at AJ's. She rang the doorbell and Natalie answered, Leigh was a little surprised.
"Oh, hi, if your busy I can come back later, I just needed to talk to AJ." Leigh stuttered.
"Oh, no, I was just leaving." Natalie said.
She took a step closer to Leigh.
"He asked me to be his girlfriend." she whispered.
Leigh smiled, "What'd ya say?" she said quietly.
"I told him I'd think about it. Just to tease him." Natalie smirked.
Leigh laughed and walked in, turning around to wave good-bye to Natalie.
"Hey, what's up?" AJ asked grabbing them sodas.
"What happened on the trip with Nick?"
"What do you mean?" he asked.
"AJ, come on! A guy doesn't leave his girlfriend saying he wishes he doesn't have to go and he loves her, then come back and won't even say a full sentence to her." Leigh spit out.
AJ nodded, "In all honesty, I have no idea. All I know is one day he's regular old Nicky boy, and the next day he had fallen into a depression."
Leigh nodded and sat down.
"It's not like I could have down something since we weren't even in the same state!" Leigh said thinking aloud.
AJ sat down next to her and handed her a can of soda.
"I wouldn't worry about it, he's probably just out of it, jet lag, ya know?" he said.
Leigh rolled her eyes, "You only get jet lag going to different countries, not states."
