"Hey girl!" Natalie said catching up to Leigh.
Leigh managed a weak smile.
"So what are you doing here?" Natalie asked as they entered the college.
"Escaping Nick ... you?"
"Escaping AJ. That boy has called me non stop!"
Leigh laughed lightly.
"So, still no change in Nick?" Natalie asked lightly.
Leigh shook her head no.
"If he would just talk to me and tell me what's wrong, I know I could help."
Natalie nodded.
"Want to get some coffee?"
Leigh nodded and they walked off.
After sitting in the overstuffed lounge chairs, sipping their coffee, Leigh and Natalie headed to the library. The college library was always quiet, hardly anyone even whispered. Leigh was looking over a few books when she heard a loud slam.
She turned around and saw Natalie had dropped a huge book of maps. She picked it up and started turning red from everyone staring.
Leigh started giggling, then Natalie did too. They soon we're both laughing hard, so they left the library, to stop disturbing everyone.
Once outside the doors, the were hysterical.
"Oh my god, you should have seen your face!" Leigh laughed.
Natalie giggled along, then they calmed down.
"I gotta get home." Natalie said.
Leigh stopped smiling, "Unfortunately, so do I."
Natalie softened, "Call me if you need anything. Okay?"
Leigh nodded and the two headed off in their separate ways.
Leigh came into the house and went directly to the guest room. She opened the door and Nick was laying on the bed looking up at the ceiling.
"Are you sleeping in here or am I?" she asked firmly.
Nick sat up and looked to her.
"We need to talk." he said.
"Look whose saying full sentences!" she said rudely.
Nick sighed and looked down. Leigh felt bad she hurt his feelings, even if he had done the same to her.
"Okay I'm-" Leigh started, but Nick interrupted her.
"Leigh, we need to break up."
