"What?" she squeaked out.
Nick wouldn't look her in the eyes.
"I don't love you anymore. I already packed clothes for you, Brian said you could stay with him and Anna." he said heartlessly.
"What?" Leigh said again.
She didn't believe what she was hearing. Nick stood up and grabbed her bags. He walked downstairs with them and made a phone call. Leigh just sat on the bed shocked.
A few minutes later, she heard the front door open and footsteps come up the stairs. Anna showed up at the bedroom door.
"Come on Leigh." she said, sounding helpless in the situation.
Leigh stood up in a daze and walked down the stairs. Nick handed Anna Leigh's bags.
Leigh and Anna were walking away when Leigh spun around to Nick.
"Nick please don't do this! I know you still love me." she said sounding like she was going to cry.
Anna started pulling her out the door even though she resisted.
"Nick I know you love me!" she shouted helplessly before Anna dragged her out and shut the door.
She opened the car door for Leigh and she got in the car too, then they drove off.
Inside the house, Nick threw his glass of soda against the wall in anger.
"God damn it!" he screamed.
He collapsed on the couch and put his head in his hands. He just kept mumbling the same thing over and over.
"Why'd I do it? Why'd I do it?"
