They walked in the house and Anna stood up.
"I don't know if Leigh wants to see you right now." she said.
Nick looked over at Anna, "I really need to talk to her."
She softened a little, "She's in the guestroom."
Nick walked over to the door and opened it. All the curtains were drawn and Leigh had her comforter over her head.
"Anna I told you I don't need anything." she said sounding stuffy.
Nick figured she must have been crying.
"It's not Anna."
At the sound of Nick's voice, Leigh through back the covers and sat up.
"What are you doing here?" she asked tucking her hair behind her ears.
"I want to talk to you. I need you to forgive me." Nick said stepping closer.
Leigh sighed and looked over at him.
"How? Tell how I can forget that you lied to me, broke up with me and cheated on me?" she asked.
Nick sat down on the edge of the bed.
"Leigh, I love you. What I did was the biggest mistake of my life." he said earnestly.
Leigh didn't say anything, she just sat and twisted her ring nervously.
"Leigh pl-"
"What? What do you want me to say?" she said as her eyes brimmed with tears, "Do you want me to lie and say I understand and forgive you? That I want to be together right now? Well, I can't! I'm sorry. But what you did to me is beyond forgiveness right now."
Nick ran his fingers through his hair and sighed.
"Don't you know I would do anything to get you back? Everyone makes mistakes." he pleaded.
Leigh looked over at him.
"Some are just hard to forgive."
