She struggled her carry on, onto the escalator, and started heading up. She ran her hand through her hair and wondered if the feeling of sadness would ever go away.
She got off the escalator and walked about five steps, then she dropped her bag and stopped.
There he was, standing in the middle of the airport, with nothing but a smile.
Leigh ran over to him and wrapped her in a hug.
"Oh god, I though I lost you." she said holding onto Nick as tight as she could.
"I couldn't do it, I love you too much." he said.
Leigh held onto him tightly and never wanting to let go of him.
"I was running out of reasons to let you go." he said looking into her eyes.
Leigh swallowed hard, "Don't let go." she whispered.
Nick smiled and kissed her longingly. She never wanted the feeling or the moment to end. They finally pulled apart and looked at each other.
"I love you." she said.
"I love you so much." he said with a smile.
Nick picked up her bag and put her hand in his. They started walking towards the exit.
They didn't know where they were going or how they were getting home, but it didn't matter.
Because at long last, they were together again.
Forever.
