Angie went through the house and shut off all the lights except the bathroom one and a small overhead light in the kitchen. Then she went into the bathroom and got into the shower. She was humming lightly in the shower when she thought she heard a noise. She stopped humming but didn't hear anything.
A few minutes later, she heard a thump and then a male's voice cursing. She left the shower on, but got out and threw on a towel. She tiptoed into her room and grabbed the first thing her hand grabbed.
Angie then snuck out to the living room and heard another noise and a mumble from the other side of the room. As she felt the person coming closer to her, she switched on the light and raised her "weapon" above her head.
She took in a sharp breath of air then let out a sigh of relief when she saw Aj sitting on the floor, rubbing his leg. She looked at the knocked over vacuum and took a deep breath.
"Jesus Christ Aj, you almost gave me a heart attack..." she said with her heart still racing.
"Yeah well I came over here and all the lights were off when I was trying to find the lamp or the light switch, I tripped over the vacuum. Where were you?" he asked getting up and brushing himself off.
"In the shower. I thought you were a bugler! I was ready to attack you..." she said putting her hand over her heart.
"With a clothes hanger?" he asked trying to stifle a laugh.
Angie looked down and saw the clothes hanger dangling from her hand and she laughed at herself.
"It was dark and I grabbed the first thing my hand touched." she explained.
He nodded, "Also, how are you expecting to attack someone when all you have on is a towel?"
She just laughed, "It's not like I had a lot of time to think! But I will be right back, then we can talk." she said.
He nodded and she walked back into the bathroom, shutting off the shower and locking the door. She changed into her pajamas and pulled her hair into a messy bun. She looked at herself in the mirror and wiped the wetness from the shower off her face.
She walked back out to the living room to see Aj laughing so hard he had tears running down his face. She came into the room and looked at what he was watching on the Tv. Angie cringed when she saw Claire and herself dressed like idiots, dancing around to Britney Spears.
"That was a welcome home present ... sort of. We were bored, and I got an idea to do it. But you were supposed to wait and see it with Nick!" Angie smiled.
"Oh don't worry ... Nick will see it. And Brian, Howie and Kevin too! I have to take this to the meeting tomorrow, it is too funny." he laughed.
"Gee, glad I could be of service making you laugh." she said plopping down next to him.
"Oh come on Ang, you know I love you. I am not bringing this tape to make fun of you, I am showing it to the guys to show how lucky I am to have you. Not many girls would do this for their boyfriend. But if you don't want me to, I won't bring it." he said.
"Oh Aj, just shut up and kiss me." she laughed.
He leaned over and placed his hand on her cheek before kissing her lips lovingly and longingly. Angie said "I love you too" against his lips as he kissed her.
He parted from her and smiled happily at her, "No more fights?"
"No more fights." she agreed.
"And I'm sorry I didn't appreciate you running around town for me." he added.
"And I'm sorry I blew up at you." she said.
"And if this conversation gets any more corny, we are going to start saying 'I love you' then 'No, I love you more' then, 'No, I love you more!' and so on." Aj said.
They both laughed and watched the rest of the video. When it was over Angie hung her head in shame and just laughed at herself.
"What was I thinking?!" she laughed.
"You looked adorable ... and I love that new look. You know, the thong over the clothes. Very chic." he said jokingly.
Angie started laughing and kissed Aj softly, knowing her heart was right where it belonged. With Aj.
