The guys all sat around the large circular table, waiting for the manager to come in, to start the meeting.
Kevin eyed Aj, "A unique video? Is it a unique video as in one we've never seen? Or is it a unique video as in no one under the age of 18 should watch it?" he asked warily.
Nick and Brian childishly snickered at Kevin's question and Aj just rolled his eyes.
"Come on guys, give me some credit! It's unique as in your going to laugh your asses off when you see it. Plus, it shows how great me and Nick's girlfriends are." he smiled.
Nick narrowed his eyes at Aj and suddenly couldn't wait for the meeting to be over, so he could see the video. A man dressed in a suit and tie walked in the room and the guys quieted down.
"Hey guys, my name is Eric and I am a new assistant manager to Ted, your manager. He couldn't make it today, so that's why I am here to talk to you all. Ted told me you all have been working unbelievably hard lately, and he appreciated all your work. He said that it is paying off and record sales have increased because of all the media work you've been doing."
Eric paused to take a gulp of his coffee before putting it back down and continuing on his explanation of what he had to say.
Aj silently thought to himself how he would do anything to just scream at this guy to get to the point and stop wasting their time with pointless rambling. He looked across the table and saw Howie falling asleep, as usual. He stifled a laugh and turned his attention back to Eric.
"So Ted wanted me to inform you all that he is giving you a weeks vacation. No cameras, no appearances, no concerts, no phone calls, nothing. He said to have a nice time with your family, girlfriends, friends or just quiet time with yourselves. He also said that in a week from tomorrow, meet him here at 8am for a meeting to get back on track." Eric finished.
There was a round of "Yes!" and a "Oh thank God, I can finally get some sleep" from Howie.
The guys were dismissed and left the office, they went to the parking lot and were about to get in their cars when Aj yelled to meet at Howie's for the video.
Fifteen minutes later, Nick, Howie, Brian and Kevin sat impatiently on Howie's couch as Aj finally showed up ten minutes later.
He came in and put in the video immediately. The guys waited as the tape rewound, then Aj pressed play.
Claire and Angie showed up on the Tv screen, both dressed like the girls who stand on the corners in Las Vegas. The guys started laughing as Nick uttered a, "What the hell are they wearing?"
Brian did a cat call which made the guys burst into laughter again. Aj told them to be quiet as Claire and Angie began to talk.
"Hey baby's! Me and Claire wanted to treat you with a nice welcome home present." Angie said making a weird face in the camera.
"So sit back, relax, and see what we have done while you were gone." Claire announced to them.
"Aww, lookie, it's Nick's pookie!" Brian cooed.
The guys laughed at him, and Nick smacked Brian in the stomach. All of a sudden 'Baby One More Time' blasted and the girls started dancing around like idiots, acting out the video. When Angie did a cartwheel and smacked into the couch, they erupted into hysterical laughter. When it was over the guys all stood up and clapped jokingly.
Nick and Aj laughed the hardest and gave each other a high five while they wiped the tears of laughter from their eyes.
"I swear, do you know any luckier guys then us? Our girlfriends actually made that video just to make us laugh. God, to think they actually dressed up and acted like that for us..." Nick laughed.
Aj nodded in agreement and Brian said that Aj and Nick were lucky to have someone love them that much ... to make that big of a fool of themselves.
A little while after, they guys all said they'd call each other over the week and to have a good vacation. Then they all went their separate ways.
Nick drove down the street to the 'Flowers Forever' shop and went inside. He picked out an arrangement of lilies, big yellow flowers and pick roses, then brought it to the check-out counter.
"Could I have these delivered today please?" he asked.
The woman nodded and took out an order form.
"I need the name of the person they are going to and the address." she said with a pleasant smile.
"They are to Claire Bennet and the address is 1744 Avenue Way. It's a law office." he said.
The woman nodded and told him to pick out a little card to put with the arrangement. Nick walked over to the rack and picked out a card with a garden backdrop. He picked up a pen off the desk and scribbled a note before stinking it in the small envelope and handing it to the lady.
She thanked him and rang up the purchase. After paying, Nick went home and made himself some lunch. He had a permanent smile on his face from the picture of Claire in his mind.
At Claire's work, a man walked in holding an arrangement of beautiful flowers. He walked up to the desk and smiled at her before taking out a sheet of paper.
"Could you tell me where I could reach Claire Bennet?" he asked in a raspy voice.
"That's me." she said.
"These flowers are for you, can you just sign here." he said handing her a clipboard.
She did so, then thanked him as he left. Rosie smiled as Claire put the flowers in front of them. Claire bit her lip as she grabbed the small envelope.
"Are they from that nice boy Nick?" Rose asked.
"I think so. I don't know who else they would be from..." she said opening the card.
Claire let out a burst of laughter as she read the card. Rosie just smiled and went back to her work.
Claire reread the card and smiled.
She smiled and blushed a little knowing two things. One was that Angie and Aj made up, so obviously Aj saw the video. And she also knew that, odds were, that Nick and Aj weren't the only ones who saw the video.
Claire smiled as she went back to work and she let out a sigh, knowing how lucky she was to have Nick.
