"Hi, I'm Claire." she said shaking it lightly.
They all kept a light conversation going until they got to the restaurant. Angie and Aj got out of the car first. Then Nick got out and held his hand out for Claire. She grabbed it as she climbed out of the back seat.
"Thanks." she said smiling.
They walked into the restaurant and Aj went up to talk to the host. Aj waved his hand towards them, motioning to follow him. They got placed in a booth near the back and Angie slipped in next to Aj as Claire did with Nick.
They ordered drinks and they started looking at the menu's when the waiter went away. Claire browsed over the menu, which she noticed was all in French. She leaned over towards Nick.
"Do you read French?" she whispered.
He shook his head no, "I was just going to ask you that. Do you like chicken?"
Claire nodded and he pointed at an item on the menu.
"I think that's what that is. I am just going to pick something at random." he said giving her a smile.
They started laughing behind their menu's and Angie smirked at them, since they both were reluctant to go on the date and now they were having fun.
A little while after they ordered, Claire got up and excused herself to the bathroom. A few minutes later when she came back, all of them were laughing. She slid back in next to Nick and eyed Angie.
"What's so funny?"
Angie smiled, "Take a look at your meal."
Claire lifted the lid off of her plate and twisted her face in disgust.
"Hungry?" Angie laughed.
What Nick had thought was chicken, turned out to be liver. Claire put the lid back on her plate and started laughing.
"That's my luck!" she laughed.
"I'm really sorry, I was never good at French." Nick said.
Claire smiled and waved her hand, showing it was no problem. Nick shifted his large plate of spaghetti in between him and Claire.
"We can share." he offered.
Claire smiled, said thanks and tried to ignore the 'aww' look Angie was making. They all finished their meals, paid the bill and headed out to the car.
They talked about everything on the way home and headed to Nick's to drop him off first. Claire got out of the car with him and told him she had a great time.
"Even with the liver and all." she laughed.
Nick smiled, hugged her and told her he'd call her to make plans for later that week. When Claire got back in the car, Angie was beaming.
"Someone falling in love?" she asked.
Claire let out a short laugh and rolled her eyes.
"Angie, first of all, I thought he was a nice guy. Nothing more, nothing less. Second of all, I don't fall in love that fast. I don't think anyone can." Claire explained.
Angie laughed at herself, "Yeah, but isn't it a nice thought to have him as someone to hang out with?"
Claire nodded and smiled devishly.
"Now I can stop my secret affair with Aj." she laughed.
Aj started laughing and Angie just shook her head at them like they were crazy.
