I remained quiet.
“And look! He put ‘Love AJ’ on my cast.” She continued. More silence from me.
“What's wrong?” she asked.
“He kissed you. Even if it wasn’t on the mouth, he kissed you. You frenched in the pool and I’m sure there were other times. Why don’t you guys just freaking go out?! You know he likes you, so you don’t have to worry about him rejecting you.” I vented. “The guy you like kissed you. Nick even knows that I like him now, but still hasn’t tried to kiss me!” I added sadly.
“But it wasn’t even a real kiss.” Rachel defended.
“But Nick hasn’t even given me a friendly peck on the cheek.” I complained.
“Oh.” She said.
I laughed. “You are such a blonde.”
“Am not. I have red hair.” She insisted.
“Just go to sleep.” I told her.
“Okay.” She said and let out a yawn. Then closed her eyes.
That was one of her characteristics that I loved about her. She allows her childlike features come out so easily. That’s what makes her so fun to be with…that’s why I haven’t wanted to kill her after knowing her since I was 1?.
Nick was standing next to the stage, out of the audience's view. “Hey Nick.” I greeted.
He looked up. “Hey.” He replied.
“Can I see you for a minute?” I asked.
“I have to go on soon, can it wait?” he asked.
“It will only take a minute.” I persuaded.
“Okay.” He gave in.
‘This is it. I can do it.’ I told myself, reassuringly. I grabbed him by the back of his neck and pulled his head down far enough so that I could kiss him. He kissed me back. Then I broke the kiss. I looked up at his beautiful face and it was full of surprise and enjoyment.
“Go! You're on! And we need to talk later.” I added.
As he walked away, I couldn’t resist hitting his ass. He jumped and looked back at me. I smiled and waved to him innocently. He just smiled and went onstage, while AJ walked towards me from the stage.
“Why did Carter have such a big smile on his face?” he asked me.
“I dunno. All I did was kiss him.” I said.
“What was that for?” he asked.
“Oh, you mean this?” I asked and kissed him even harder than I had the first time.
“Yea.” He answered, after we broke apart.
“Yes.” I said.
“Yes what?” he questioned.
“Well, if it’s not to late, I have taken careful consideration and have decided to forget my past and go out with you…if the offer is still open.”
