Melissa stood in the bathroom with tears in her eyes. She knew that she had to make Isaac think that everything was totally unexpected. He couldn’t know that she planned this just to marry him for his money, then get rid of him.
Meanwhile, Isaac stood in the doorway with the small white box in his hands. He became speechless the second he looked at it. He knew all to well what it ment. He had seen that box before, but he wasn’t with Melissa then. He was with his high school sweetie, Britany. She had become pregnant right before their first CD ‘Middle of Nowhere’ came out. With all the stress that their two families put on Britany that she had lost the baby when she was four months along. Ever since then the thought of having another child never even crossed Isaac’s mind, actually he didn’t think that he could ever get over Britany, and what they had.
“Melissa...” started Isaac with a shaky voice, “everything will be alright.” he finshed as he walked closer.
“No it won’t!” shouted Melissa between sobs.
“Yes it will. We are in this together now.”
“Whatever, I’m sure that you’ll just dump me.”
“No I won’t.” stated Isaac growing more nervous. “Will...will get...ma..rried. Okay?”
This is exacty what Melissa wanted to hear. She decied that she was willing to put her life on hold for 9 months, because it would all be worth it when Isaac asked her to marry him, and then she would get all of his money, the only thing that she really wanted. It didn’t matter that the baby might not be his, he’ll never know.
“Are you sure?” asked Melissa stopping her tears and looked up at Isaac.
“Yeah, its the right thing to do.”
Jayna stared into the window in shock. She still couldn’t believe what she say and that Taylor could really have kissed that girl. He had jsut told her earlier that he wasn’t seeing anyone, and now it was clear that he had lied to here.
“I really do need to go to work,” thought Jayna aloud to herself, “but, I just can’t ignore what I just saw. I still can’t belive that Taylor lied to me like that.”
“Look girls, I really need my sleep. Now will you just leave?” said Taylor growing even more annoyed with the two girls.
“But Taylor.” said Nicole putting her hand on his hair, “i don’t want to leave, and I know that you don’t want me to leave.”
“You are really starting to scare me. Now leave!”
“Come on Nicloe.” started Beth grabbing Nicloe’s arm “We should really leave Taylor alone. We used his phone and now its time to go.”
“Hey what’s your name?” asked Taylor growing interested in the other girl.
“My name is Beth, and I’m really sorry about my friend’s behavior.”
“Oh its alright Beth, I’ve meet a lot odder people.”
“What!” shouted Jayna from out side Now he’s flirting with the other one. When is this going to end?”
“I sware that I just heard something.” said Nicole walking around the house, “It sounded like a girl screaming.”
“Well, I’m the only one how right now, unless Melissa is up to her old tricks with Isaac and Zac.”
“And Zac?” exclaimed Beth
“Yeah, she’s the town slut, but everyone knows that. We don’t expect anything more from her.”
“I need to get into the house.” said Jayna to herself as she stormed off to the house and opened the front door. “What is going on in her Taylor” she shouted “You said that you weren’t seeing someone, but you lied to me.” Suddenly Jayna burst into tears.
“Jayna its not what you think.”
“Beth.” squealed Nicole taking her over to the side so that Taylor and Jayna couldn’t hear, “This is perfect, just what I was hoping would happen!”
